I love Chris Hardwick, but it feels like this was ghost written by someone else with an edict to use as much Tony Robbins-style TV motivational speaker buzzwords and dime store pop psychology as possible. Then, "nerd culture" and 1980s references were sprinkled liberally through the text to appeal to his comic con audience. Like so much cotton candy - sweet, empty calories - or a Poison power ballad, this is all style and very little substance.

I'm a Hardwick fan.  I love his podcast and his stand-up.  If you know him, then you know his tone and his writing style is exactly the same.  Sincere guy who wants to help everyone better themselves.  Great Book .

Hardwick's advise for fellow "Nerdists" is an excellent kick in the pants to use our powers for good (self improvement) instead of evil (self pity). All of his ideas are simple to implement and can vastly change lives. Even integrating one suggestion into your life should have a profound impact. Highly recommended.

Even if you do not like self-help books. I happen to loathe them. Primarily because of their new- agey language and the inability to apply their message to my lifestyle. Learn from someone else's mistakes, the easiest way to learn. Loved this book.

I am a person who generally doesnt like to sit down and read a book, but this book drew me in with just its sample. As a self proclaimed nerd I could easily relate to this book in a matter of pages. I would not hesitate buying this book, it is bothfunny and inciteful.
