Network of Fear
When Roland Kendrick accompanies his fellow journalist to Portland for a long weekend break, he is unexpectedly drawn into the periphery of a chain of chilling events that brings fear and death in and around the city. As he attempts to flee and to elude these sadistic killers, he is dragged into a dark underworld of greed, sex, and violence.
Since adolescence, he has experienced an unusual paranormal ability which warns him of any impending danger, and now fear and desperation cause the young journalist to develop additional latent and strange psychic and paranormal skills, which assist him in his struggles against his assailants.
His subsequent friendship with an aggressive blond Norseman and a rambunctious cat might make for an unholy and unlikely alliance, but they are both well suited to assist him to cope and survive in this threatening lifestyle, and slowly the bond between them develops into a formidable force. Finally, he gains confidence from these friendships and his rising paranormal talents, and they set out to confront his assailants and to discover their closely guarded secrets.
