Overview

Never A Dull Moment by Donna McDonald

What could she possibly have in common with a man whose watch costs more than her car?

Georgia may be slowing down a bit at sixty, but she isn't stupid yet. The idea of her genuinely dating Dr. Brentwood Colombo, aka Hollywood when he poses in her doorway... well, that's just totally insane.

Where is her dignity? Where is her pride? How did she let her snickering friends dare her into giving him a chance?

And where is the kind, caring daughter she raised? Mariah's been replaced with an evil version who keeps insisting she give the womanizing plastic surgeon who dates twenty year olds a fair chance. A fair chance at what, Georgia wonders? Breaking her heart?

No, thank you. She would rather keep her womanly dignity than see it trampled under Hollywood's expensive, polished shoes. Now if he'd just stop talking about her perfect, perfect breasts, she might forget about him completely.

About THE PERFECT DATE Series

The essence of all romantic comedy is that falling in love and navigating an unexpected romance is never easy or simple. Instead, it's messy and emotional, and if you're lucky, it's also sexy and fun.

Some relationship professionals, like my character of Dr. Mariah Bates in this series, sincerely want to help people find their perfect love match. For the various heroines I've created, many of whom are older, Mariah's going to need all the help she can get. Or maybe she just needs to step out of the way. You can be the judge.

Book 1 Never Is A Very Long Time
Book 2 Never Say Never
Book 3 Never A Dull Moment
Book 4 Never Ever Satisfied
Book 5 Never Be Her Hero

Great to read about Georgia this time around. Laughing from start to finish in Never a Dull Moment. Loved it. She's honest and tells it exactly like it is. Nothing is sugar coated and Hollywood loves her for it. Can't wait for you to read about their first date...definitely something to write home about. Excitement, falling in love, fights and family! Donna delivers in this series. Fun, realistic (I would love to meet some of these characters!) and quick reads. Wonderful kick back and relax books.

A delightful read. I love the characters in this book. Being a single woman over 60 I could really relate. I love the strength of the main female character and her ability to do it her way. Guess we all wish for a Hollywood.

It took me a whi!e to get into this book. I had been waiting for Hollywood and Georgia's story. Georgia was harsh. Initially, I would say that her character seemed harsh, angry, and unrelenting in her snark and sarcasm. I couldn't imagine why Hollywood wanted to pursue a relationship with her. I had to wonder if he just enjoyed the emotional beat down. Then, you gradually get little peaks into Georgia's vulnerability. You get peaks into Hollywood's vulnerability. The story builds until you see and feel their attraction and sensual heat. You see that they truly LIKE each other. You are so into the story, into Hollywood and Georgia's snark, that you have to think about your initial hesitation. Admittedly, I liked Hollywood much more than Georgia, but she grew on me. I voluntarily read and reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy.

5 Stars! I think this is my favorite of the series so far. Georgia is just amazing. She says everything we want to say but were taught to keep inside! This book was so funny, my daughter kept asking what I was laughing about. I am relieved that she finally gave Brent a chance, and I think she will be great for Henna and Vassal. I'm hoping for a sequel at some point, or at least more of these characters in other books of the series. Maybe Henna and Vassal have a book coming that will include Georgia and Brent? (Hint, Hint). I only wish this one were longer--this has all the makings of a somewhat rocky, surely passionate, and often hilarious relationship as Georgia gets oriented to Brent's world. I can only imagine Brent at yoga, as well. . . This book has everything we expect from Donna: great characters, snappy dialogue, true chemistry, and hilarious situations. Enjoy! The Perfect Date Series is a hoot. And Never A Dull Moment has an “older” heroine who is as feisty, and funny, as it gets. Seriously, NADM will have you laugh-snorting thru most of the book. Yes, even though it is book 3 in the series, it is a standalone read. There are characters that were introduced in the first two books. No worries, you won’t be lost but check out the rest of the series for the fun. Georgia has an “attitude” against people who are rich, especially rich, handsome doctors of the male persuasion. Enter Brent, or “Hollywood”, as Georgia calls him and their adventure begins! I cannot possibly say anything about this story as I will not do it justice. It is funny, sometimes frustrating (that’s Georgia’s fault; the author wrote her character perfectly!), warm, touching…and has characters surrounding these two that will make your day. It will often challenge any preconceptions you may have about older romances, snotty well-to-do people…and just plain living.
