Helena is found guilty of murder and is sent to a women’s reformatory. When she is released she returns to the town she came from without having anyone to turn to. She meets Thomas and changes his life. Together they make sense, they help each other, they understand each other, and they are at peace together. Neither lets the other in easily and they both have their demons to fight but together they can overcome anything. I love the paranormal aspect of the story. The idea that two people can be connected so deeply that they have to be together, they have to touch each other, and they have to love each other is wonderful. The paranormal part isn’t so unbelievable that it makes the story unbelievable. The paranormal part is more about the connection of two people who make each other whole. I am an Abbie Roads fan, even though this is the first book of hers that I have read. She has become an author that I know I will continue to read and enjoy. I definitely recommend Never Let Me Fall.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I haven’t bought the book yet, but it is definitely on my list to buy when I can. I own all the other books already. The cover is steamy! This is the 3rd book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content. I recommend reading the whole series in order to better understand the world and history of the series. There is some M/M scenes in this book. Abbie does a fantastic job pulling you into the world and story. I love her complex world with a paranormal twist. She adds psychological issues that you don’t even think about until you read it. This is Thomas’ story who is Evanee’s brother. He has a gift that he uses working for the BCI is a black and white world. Until he meets Helen, and she brings color back to his life. They both have histories that bring baggage to their lives, but they bring each other through it together. This is another action-packed story where you aren’t sure where it is going next, and I loved every minute of it! I highly recommend to anyone who love paranormal crime books because this one rocks, and you won’t be disappointed!

A sinister and romantic love story of intrigue and inspiring tale of perseverance. Never Let Me Fall, is the 3rd book in the Fatal Dreams series by Abbie Roads. I read all the books in Fatal Dreams series, this title like the last didn’t disappoint when it came to the romance and the intrigue. Helena Grayse knows terror, and she knows pain. Incarcerated for the slaying of her boyfriend. She spent 10 years fiending of attacks by a group of inmates known as the Sisters. Ten years of being stabbed, beaten and other known atrocities known to man. In that entire time, she spent on dreaming of the day, she can finally escape the horror of Fairson. Thomas Brown has lived his entire life in black and white. Still capable of delivery justices to families that have been wronged. And in all that time, Thomas was hiding a deep dark secret if his own. A dark secret that has finally been revealed through a posthumous letter, written by his mother. I truly loved this story. Both Thomas and Helena both refuse to let the horrors of their life, define who they were as human beings. Never Let Me Fall, went on to prove….though life can be vicious at times, it can also be merciful. All thumbs up for Never Let Me Fall, with a high recommendation to all readers who loves a good mystery intrigue and the supernatural.

Seeing is believing... Thomas Brown can't see color, but he can see people's true souls. His abilities allow him to work with criminal investigators and deliver justice to families of the wronged. And he's starting to accept that his life will forever be in black and white... Then he encounters Helena Grayse, and everything changes. She brings vibrant color to his world, and he brings acceptance and belief to hers. But Helena's past is quickly catching up with her, and Thomas is in the crosshairs. As an enemy hidden in plain sight threatens their every move, they'll have to rely on their love to beat the darkness. Review: Another truly unique and inventive story in this series! After reading the second book in the series, I was drawn in to read this third book in the series. This story was so well written and exciting that it kept me on the edge of my seat until the end. This story takes on the brother of Evanee, Thomas and what he endured at the hands of his step-father. It also, revolves around Helena and how her life was affected by the sheriff. Thomas and Helena each have special abilities that have affected them and their lives. Thomas and Helena are such tortured characters, but so strong and fighters, I really like that about them. I quite enjoyed the whole mythos behind why they are drawn to protect each other. The baddie in this story is truly Thomas' step-father whose actions have implications on so many lives. I liked how we found out more about Thomas's and Evanee's home life and their parents and step-family. At times the romance between Thomas and Helena is sweet and touching, other times very hot and sexy. Excellent romantic suspense! 5Stars *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book provided by the publisher.*

This is a romance story but believe me there is plenty of dark and twisted in it as well. It is basically a paranormal love story but that doesn't do it justice as it is so much more. Helena is a strange mix of damaged and hopeful she was wrongly accused and convicted of murder and has served her time for a crime she didn't commit now it is time for her release but first she will have to battle one more time to stay alive. Thomas has a brutal family legacy and he bears the scars to prove it when someone releases his family secrets to the public his life is in shambles, When these two damaged souls meet they become so much more together but will there pasts destroy them or will they finally get the peace they deserve

Never Let Me Fall (Fatal Dreams #3) By Abbie Roads Rated 4 stars Thomas’ story drew me in when I first heard about it. A guy who sees black/white and has for years then once he sees a woman...all the colors come to life. Heck yeah! I wanted to read that! Because I know he will want her. She not only adds color but also fills those empty holes he had inside him. Win-win! I had high hopes for this book. I read the last two books in the series and ab-so-lutely loved them. I am not sure why but this book was a struggle for me. At first I couldn’t connect with the characters. At times the story seemed disjointed and I had to reread pages thinking I had missed something. But it all seemed to flow much better the further Into the story I got. I started to feel the connection and actually “feel” the MC’s bond grow. There is quite a bit of movement in the last half of the book which makes some things come together. It was nice to briefly see Lathan and Evanee as they helped out a bit. As stated above I loved the others in this series. Heck I am a one clicker of Abbie Roads. But I am sorry. I wanted to love Thomas’ story but it is an okay to good read for me.

Never Let Me Fall is the third book in Abbie Road’s Fatal Dreams Series. You don’t have to read the other two books to enjoy this one, but they are connected. Thomas Brown is a consultant for law enforcement. He has the ability to see people’s true souls amongst other things. One day, he stumbles upon a mystery woman named Helena Grayse who has a connection to him that is beyond reality. They are fated to be together. Interestingly enough, she has a hidden power of her own that becomes unlocked the moment she meets Thomas. There is so much to like about this book. Never Let Me Fall is a very intriguing romantic suspense that keeps you on your toes from beginning to end. The sexual energy between Thomas and Helena is powerful and very much X-rated. Plus, it’s easy to see that this couple is truly better together than they are apart. The legend behind their connection carries over from the other books. They are another incarnation of Fearless and Bear who had the ability to heal each other as long as they are touching. Sadly, there is also a tragic story of abuse that also carries over too. The Thomas and Helena endured a lot of pain and suffering before they met each other. It’s only by pure perseverance that they even live long enough to meet. They are a couple that you can’t help but want to succeed. Unfortunately, there is someone in the background looking to do them harm and they must embrace their abilities to save each other. Although Never Let Me Fall is a good book, I must note that it could be somewhat hard to stomach some of the abuse that occurs. This book it is not meant for the faint of heart. This is a love story but there is a lot of violence and some perversion to go along with it. Abbie Roads makes sure that the road to the happy ending is very much a bumpy road. I look forward to reading more books from her. She is very creative and has no problem with pushing the envelope. **Received a copy of the book for Sourcebooks Casablanca and voluntarily reviewed.**

Never Let Me Fall (Fatal Dreams #3) by Abbie Roads was a unique, heart pounding, paranormal thriller, that had me hooked from start to finish. My first read by this author and for this series. Again, if you know me, I tend to read books out of order, but no worries this book reads as a standalones. And form what I have researched about this original series, so do the other books. That being said, this book isn't like anything I have read before. It puts a new spin on crime dramas, and that uniqueness adds something more than special and extra, it makes it stand out and memorable. I love finding these, out-of-box reads; it has taken something has has been done and elevates it into something rare and as I said, memorable. What I liked the most was the excellent balance of good with the dark and twisty. The tone shifts were on point and really brought this tale to life. Our MC was topnotch, well rounded and believable. His emotions were raw and powerful, not only in love but in his ambition to do what's right. Overall this book is a solid 5 star read. If the other books are anything like this one, then I'm missing out and need to go back and read the other two books. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will be addicted to this book. Happy Reading -E.A. Walsh

This book was dark and twisted, with great bursts of light. I absolutely LOVED it! Abbie Roads is a new author to me. After this one book, she is on my auto-buy list. This story is the third in the Fatal Dreams series, though it stands alone quite well even though the books are related. I must go back and read the others...I have a burning need to see what I missed! This story has breathtaking action right off the bat. Helen, who was unjustly convicted for murder, is about to be paroled after 10 years. A gang who tormented and tortured her that entire time was not going to let Helen leave alive. Her attempted escape had me holding my breath. Our heroine began to have extremely odd, disturbing dreams once she met our hero. Though Helen's life has become an unending nightmare, she is still one tough cookie! Then we have our tortured hero Thomas. ~Sigh~ I just loved Thomas! Thomas was scarred badly from his stepfather stomping his face when he was 5 years old . Tragically, he can only see in black and white. No colors at all, until he meets Helen. Also, Thomas can see the death shadows of people both living and dead. When someone dies, he is called in by law enforcement to read the deceased's shadow, and is able to see their past and how they died. These two were destined for each other. Literally. What follows is a non-stop ride of depravity and darkness. Malone is one of the vilest villains I've chanced to read in a long time. But then there is the light of Helen and Thomas, illuminating the story. I loved their beautiful connection, plus the heat they have for each other. This book is an unending thrill ride that is not to be missed! I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley. I received no compensation for this review, and all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

NEVER LET ME FALL is the third instalment in Abbie Roads’ contemporary, adult FATAL DREAMS paranormal, romantic suspense series. This is police department consultant Thomas Brown, and former inmate Helena Grayse’s story line. NEVER LET ME FALL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the story in order for back story. NOTE: NEVER LET ME FALL contains scenes of graphic violence and sexual abuse, and may not be suitable for more sensitive readers. Told from several third person perspectives including Thomas and Helena NEVER LET ME FALL follows the building relationship between police department consultant Thomas Brown, and former inmate Helena Grayse. Ten years earlier Helena was sentenced to prison for a crime she did not commit but Helena found herself the target of a prison gang, a gang determined to end her life. Upon release from prison, a battered and battle -scarred Helena headed back to the family home, a home now owned by consultant Thomas Brown. When the attacks against Helena’s life continue on the outside, Thomas is determined to protect the woman that literally calls to his heart, a woman with whom he is psychically tethered. What ensues is the building but struggling relationship between Thomas and Helena, and the potential fall-out as Thomas’s past is determined to own him body and soul, a malevolent past that is closely connected to the woman he loves. Thomas Brown has a special ability of which only a few are aware. With his ability to ‘read’ and ‘see’ the shadow of death, Thomas is surprised when Helena’s aura is a beacon of colour and light, colour he hasn’t seen in too many years. Helena has survived the prison abuse but was unaware of the how and why. Keeping to herself, remaining quiet in the face of danger and death, Helena continues to be targeted for sins of the past. The relationship between Thomas and Helena is one of immediate attraction. Thomas knows immediately, with one touch, that Helena is his soulmate -her nearness allows Thomas to see colours and light; his touch heals that which would have killed a lesser human. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. NEVER LET ME FALL is a story of heartbreak and pain; family and loss; betrayal and vengeance. The premise is dark, gritty and raw; the romance is fated; the characters are broken, damaged and lost.

Dark and edgy thriller that incorporates paranormal along with the main characters being connected on a mythological base around a centuries old legend of two star-crossed lovers. The author sure likes to put uncomfortable storylines in her books. I never think she can top the last book on the torturous past of the main characters and twisted things the villain does but she manages it every time. This being the third book in the series I noticed that too many parts of each book are closely similar and interchangeable. I get the series is around the long dead star-crossed lovers of Fearless and Bear but when you know the plot points ahead of time and even what is going to happen in the book that's a little too cookie cutter for me. I'd point out the exact similarities in each book but for those that haven't read the series that would be spoilery. Fatal Dreams is a unique series that walks the line of paranormal, thriller, horror and romance. Even though I was a little disappointed with similarities between the books I still recommend this series to fans of the genre..

4 Stars Review by Morgen Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog Never Let Me Fall is book three in the Fatal Dreams series by Abbie Roads. It’s a paranormal suspense story about surviving tragedy and finding a way to save each other. Helena is an oddball that was raised and home schooled by her grandparents. She was naive and didn’t have much practice interacting with anyone her own age. At eighteen she is convicted of murder and sent to a woman’s reformatory, which is not near as glamorous as it sounds. Still she never gave up. She’s strong, protective, and independent. Thomas has survived a lot in his life and has the scars to prove it. His childhood was full of tragedy but he doesn’t let it keep him down. He consults for the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI). His past and gifts make him uniquely suited to help the family of victims get justice. He is sweet, honest, and caring On Helena’s last night in the reformatory, we get a taste of how hard it was for her to survive inside. She was wrongfully accused and that knowledge weighs heavy on her shoulders. Having to constantly fight for her life crushed her spirit and she built up walls around her heart and kept silent to stay sane. Thomas keeps his demons buried deep down but someone releases his family’s darkest secrets for the world to see. It haunts him but now that everyone knows he can no longer hide. His stepfather, the sheriff, is linked to many crimes, but can’t be found. The BCI needs to investigate starting with him as their lead witness, however even as an adult it is impossible for him to speak about what happened. From the moment Helena and Thomas’s eyes meet they know they need more. They need to know each other, they crave it. One coincidence after another has them stumbling into each other’s lives. Helena won’t speak and Thomas can’t keep his eyes of her. They are both broken in different ways and have reasons to try to keep their pasts hidden. Fearing rejection if their flaws are shown. Not knowing that their damaged souls had so much in common. The imagery created was beautiful the detail is amazing and pieces together a scene wonderfully. Their connection is instant and feels like destiny. The intensity of it overwhelmed me. The chemistry between them is strong and they fight hard to deny it and not give in at first. The characters have depth and their inner struggles take us on a wild ride. The suspense of what could happen from one moment to the next kept me hooked. The pacing was great. Each touch lit a fire under their skin that only more contact could soothe. I would recommend reading the first two books before this to truly get a sense of the world you’re in.
