Chely Wright has one of the bluesier voices in pop country, and she displays it vividly on Never Love You Enough, the impressive follow-up to the singer's gold-standard Single White Female. Her heartfelt delivery enlivens the sweeping ballad "One Night in Las Vegas," a duet sung with co-writer Brad Paisley that tells of a loving couple's triumph over forces designed to pull them apart. Wright takes a rock-inspired angle on "Wouldn't It Be Cool," a catchy, singsong tune about revenge on a wayward lover. Her richly hued vocals give voice to a tale proclaiming the power of faith and love on the somber verses and soaring, string-laden choruses of "For the Long Run." Closing on an optimistic note, Wright -- with her warm and soothing voice -- offers her self-penned "Deep Down Low," a folk-flavored ballad that advises listeners to find a balance in life by accepting the blues as part of the cycle of healing. The stories are cut from broadly familiar situations, and when Wright digs deep into their content, the results are soul-deep.

Chely Wright is one of the best new artists in country music today. Her new album, ''Never Love You Enough,'' shows the depth of her talent. Her angelic voice complements her heartfelt, honest (sometimes painfully so) lyrics -- with a slight country twang. Chely nails the title track with all of the passion that surrounds true love. Although all of the tracks are outstanding, ''One Night in Las Vegas'' stands out as the album's best song, as Chely describes the trials and tribulations of any married couple. She really hits home that, no matter how tough things get, a couple can get through them if they are together in the fight. Again, an amazing album that speaks to the heart of any relationship!

I was never much of of a Chely Wright fan until I heard this CD. This is definitely my favorite country CD. She's got a nice combination of emotional ballads to fun songs on this album. I can not express my love of this CD enough. My favorite songs on this CD are "For the Long Run" and "Not As In Love". For the long run is a testimonial to what it means to be commited to someone for the rest of your life, and in order to do that, you have to let go of your ego. Not As In Love is a beautiful confession from a girl who doesn't feel the same for a certain male in her life, and being able to confess what she really wants in a relationship. This is a brilliant CD!! I highly recommend it!!
