Disappointed with this book. Or maybe i expected way more from Colleen Hoover. $3.21 for 118 pages. I have no idea what i read because it hardly made any sense. I understand it is a series, and this is part one and there should be things left to suspense for the next books, but this was almost like reading the prologue in a book. A prologue that cost three bucks. I will read again in a few days, though. Hopefully then i will feel differently.

I cannot tell you how excited I was to hear that these two were collaborating on a book together. Combining Tarryn’s twisted mind with Colleen’s amazing ability to tear your heart to shreds was pure genius. I was not disappointed at all! Told from alternating POV’s between Silas and Charlie, the reader is faced with more questions on every page. Mainly what in the HELL is happening?!?! Just enough answers are given to make you tear through this book as if your life depends on it. I honestly could not tell which author was writing which parts but I truly felt like the story was a true and perfect mix of each of their styles. Yes, it is not long enough by any means. Yes, it ends on a cliffhanger. But yes, there will be more and it is sure to be amazing! I personally have a love hate relationship with cliffhangers, but if the authors leave you screaming for more, then they have done their job right! I simply cannot wait to get my hands on part 2! 5 Stars and a bottle of whiskey (you‘ll need it)! Enjoy!

First, I want to address something I've been seeing around Facebook and on various review sites. Please note the part above where I mention that this is a serial. This is noted on the Amazon page - though I don't see it noted on the B&N page as a serial, only a series. The authors announced this ahead of the release and it has been fairly well known within the book/reading community. As part one of a serial, this book ends in a major cliffhanger. I've seen lots and lots of people complaining about this. The authors have announced that the second book will be out in mid-May. I have no idea if there is a part three or when it will be out if there is. So now you have been warned. If you choose to purchase this book, do it with the full knowledge that there is a cliffhanger and it's a serial. Wow. Just wow. This book pulls you in and doesn't let you go until the end of the ride. Even then, you'll be thinking about it for days. Strap in and put the safety bar down, because you're gonna need it with this one! There are so many twists and turns in this book that you're not going to know which way is up when the ride is over. I love Silas. He's a total sweetheart (so far) and seems to genuinely care about people. Especially Charlie. Even without knowing the full story, he knows that she's important to him, and that's all that matters. Charlie is a little harder. She's a little more abrasive and a little harder to like but she grows on you. She's independent and determined. She also redeems herself by how she treats her little sister and the fact that she's not liking who she used to be. Overall, I loved this book. I loved the fact that I couldn't stop thinking about it for days afterwards. I love that I am completely clueless as to where this may or may not be headed when I'm usually really good at figuring things out. And I absolutely cannot wait for May!

An all consuming, confusing, engaging thriller, with characters you want to help and a story you need to know! What does Never Never mean?? Counting the days until more Charlie and Silas! Well done Colleen and Taryn!

Very disappointing! Where is she going with this story line?  Entirely too short!  Nothing at all like her other books. I will not be sucked into buying anymore from this series.  A big waste of my time and money.

I understand the book is short but I couldn't put it down. I was immediately drawn in with the opening chapter and the theme of the book is very captivating. I liked the lead characters and their personalities. It is a teen drama, but I'm 30 and still enjoyed it. I do agree with other readers that all 3 books could have been tuned into one regular book because they are so short. However, I enjoy the books and couldn't put them down... all 3 were worth the low cost.

It never made any sense. The chapters kept jumping between charaters so much that you never knew who was talking and the ending sucked big time. No resolutin, just a sorry cliffhanger to try and force you to buy another ultra short story for a huge amount of money. Sorry...wont be suckered into that. Either put it all into one book or not at all. Do not recommend at all.

Cliffhanger - this is a serial story. That said, it was well written and had an intesting premise. I'm not sure where it was headed, but it had grabbed my attention and kept it.

When i bought the book, nothing told me it was a cliffhanger and that I'd have to buy another book (and another) to find out what happens. I feel cheated and won't be buying any more.

Disappointed! I love Collen Hoover,I honestly haven't read much from Tarryn Fisher. l was excited to read this although I am not crazy about purchasing 3 short novellas that can easily be one book.that's why I like Collen Hoover so much..you get what you get..and its all there.and quality. I did not like this book..it went off in too many directions..it was hard to follow, and the character development was not there? I didn't think the book had a wow factor?? I didn't like the end..it made no sense..I'm very surprised Colleen Hoover put her name on this.I can't wait for her next book! I feel like I wasted money on these 3 books that didn't make sense...just being honest.

Never Never is the first installment in co-authors Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher's mature young adult series titled: Never Never. When I finished this book, I was pissed. But after sitting on it for a few days, I think I can write a fair review. Because there's good and bad in everything right? The good: I finished the book! Something good about it kept me going. It was mysterious and intriguing to follow these characters as they tried to make some sense out of this situation and re-learn both themselves and others around them. I was supportive of the characters' slow but sure attraction to each other, despite what they gradually learned about their past behavior. The characters have potential and apparent motivation to be better than the person they were, and I liked that about them. I was genuinely curious, and very eager to get my many, many questions answered. That combined with my emotional response after finishing the book, although quite negative, at least shows that I was very much invested in the story. The bad: I was confused! The concept that the characters' situation was based on made no sense at all. (view spoiler) From the first page to the last page, I had so many questions that went unanswered...and then the stupid cliffhanger! It was unnecessary. Why publish a 140 page book that ends right in the middle of a climactic scene instead of just publishing a full-length novel that allows the reader to gain a full experience? And the next installment won't be released until May 2015??? I think Never Never should be marketed as a serial instead of a series...that would make more sense and would at least give readers a heads up to what they are getting into. Yes, I know it's the author's right to organize their work as they see fit, but I did not enjoy my experience and because I don't want a repeat, I won't be continuing the series. The end. My favorite quote: "'It's strange how money seems to silence a neighborhood,' I say quietly. 'On my street, where no one has money, it's so loud. Sirens blaring, people shouting, car doors slamming, stereos thumping. There's always someone somewhere, making noise.'...'I think I prefer the noise.'”

“I want to tell him that what he did was nice, but nice is such a silly word for kindness. Anyone could pretend to be nice. What Silas did was innate. Boldfaced kindness.” Genre: Young Adult Romance. Number of Pages: 159. Perspective: Alternating First. Location: New Orleans. Never Never follows Silas and Charlie, a teenage couple that wake up one day and can’t remember anything about their lives. As they put together the pieces they start to realize that maybe they were hiding a lot of horrible secrets, and it's better to forget. Well, I wanted quick read, and I definitely got that. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but I usually HATE series. Especially with big cliffhangers. I don’t want to have to be committed to 3+ books to get a complete story. But typically after each book in a series, you feel some sort of resolution, even though there is a larger story that continues through all of the books. Nope, not this time. This was a really amazing book and I was powering through it. Then…it ends. It's like they took a novel, sliced it in thirds, and decided to space the release of all three parts over the course of a year to drive the readers insane. It's like starting to read a novel, losing it for a year, then picking up the book to finish when you don’t really care or remember what happened anymore. If it was a novel, it was going great and I would have given the book 5 stars, but because I feel it is incomplete, I can only give it 4 stars. A 110 page free well-written cliffhanger novella written by two authors having alternate chapters from the two main characters point of view. Two teenagers coming into 'consciousness' in the middle of a school day. A dramatic adventure with a varied cast of characters involving explicit language, and sexual innuendo and descriptions. This involves a giant cliffhanger ending. BUT this is a great story. The next and second sequel to this story is 2.99 for a 85 page cliffhanger. The third story sequel does not come out til January 2016. Will not be paying 2.99 for an 85 page cliffhanger, and having to wait til January to purchase and read another possible cliffhanger. Thank you for the excellent tale.
