Fifth in the USA-Today bestselling Leigh Koslow Mystery Series!

"The fifth installment in this excellent series, and perhaps Ms. Claire's best yet. The characters and relationships are superior, written with heartfelt compassion and wry wit."--Romantic Times

Lilah Murchison never cared about anyone besides her prize-winning cats.
Unfortunately, the feeling was mutual...

When wealthy socialite Lilah Murchison dies in an airplane crash, the locals in Pittsburgh's North Boros shed no tears. The reclusive millionaire and rumored black widow was detested by almost everyone, including her own son, who expects to share his inheritance with the throng of Siamese that inhabit his mother's dreary mansion. But when Lilah's latest will delivers the bulk of her cash to another, unidentified heir, the cat litter flies.

The only local who seems genuinely sorry about Ms. Lilah's passing is Leigh Koslow's veterinarian father, who hasn't a clue how the death of his long-term client could be connected to the bizarre series of break-ins and threats now plaguing his clinic. But daughter Leigh has a hunch that Lilah's mystery heir may be hiding right under their noses, and wishes she could prove it before the entire staff runs screaming out the door. Because someone wants the past to stay buried--even if it means adding a little extra to the grave.

"Edie Claire always writes an entertaining amateur sleuth novel...NEVER TEASE A SIAMESE is her best work to date."

"Fans will enjoy Claire's solid plot with its many twists and turns as well as the snappy dialogue of her well-rounded characters. This is a clever mystery written with a dash of humor and concluded quite logically. Altogether, a satisfying read."

Leigh Koslow and friends are back with another light mystery. This time, Leigh must track down a murderer and missing heir. What looks to be a simple case, turns into a labyrinth of clues that lead to a very unexpected resolution. This series has engaging characters and always delivers a solid read.

If it's light, easy reading you are looking for, this Edie Claire series is just right. The mysteries are not so intense that you will not be able to sleep after reading them, but provide just enough intrigue. The plots & characters are interesting enough that you will want to read the next in the series.

This is the first Leigh Koslow mystery I've read, but I plan to read others. The book had lots of plot twists and definitely kept me interested through the end. Perfect summer beach book or when you're home sick for a couple of days.

Great book - fun read with lots of likeable characters. Good plot development with none of the poorly written sex I've seen in so many recent ebooks. Grest for all ages. I really enjoyed it.

I have read the series from up to book six (i'm behind!), and I have loved them all. The plots are clever and well-thought-out. There's a wonderful dynamic in the family relationships, a group of imperfect but (mostly) loveable and real people. The characters grow from book to book, which makes room for change and new scenarios. I know some people don't care, but another thing I like very much is the clean language and that the sex is left in the bedroom, and those doors are shut.

Lilah Murchison is not a very nice woman so when she dies in a plane crash nobody mourns her passing, not even her son Dean. He does expect to inherit her sizable estate so he¿s shocked when the will is read and he learns that Lilah was not his mother. She left the bulk of her estate to her true heir provided he or she comes forward in five years.

Leah Koslow is also at the reading of the will, standing in for her father who was a beneficiary as long as he provides medical care for her cats until their deaths. From the time the will is read, Leigh¿s father¿s clinic is threatened, Lilah¿s housekeeper dies, and somebody gets murdered who is connected to the case. Concerned about her father and his employees, Leigh investigates and almost gets killed in the process.

Edie Claire always writes an entertaining amateur sleuth novel in which NEVER TEASE A SIAMESE is her best work to date. The heroine is so earnest and logical it is impossible not to like her while the support cast lends humorous moments to a very serious story line. Fans of Lydia Adamson and Susan Wittig Albert will definitely want to read this book.

An enjoyable read with characters that are both familiar and lovable. I do have trouble understanding how a self employed advertizing copy writer can spend so much time away from her job playing detective (she is a pretty good detective) and still pay her bills. I guess it helps that she finally realized that Warren is a really desirable guy and married him. Her childhood friends and family carry her. If one of her best friends wasn't a big, tough police detective that not only suspected her interference but frequently took action to insure compliance. Her background as an assistant at her father's veterinary clinic is just another excuse to help there and avoid creative copy writing work. The visual descriptions throughout the stories and the suspenseful scenes makes you want to reign in her native curiosity an be especially sympathetic to the challenges that her new husband, Warren, has to deal with. This is my forth book in the series and I'm still eager for more (just glad I'm not a long suffering husband, father, mother or friend in her life).
