"I’d never met anyone quite like Mathias Wade.
He was brooding and arrogant, but I loved him anyway.
Together we were wild and uncontained—a hurricane raging.
Then I had to leave and words were exchanged that could never be undone.
But I was back, and Mathias better watch out, because this bitch wasn’t finished with him.
Game. Set. Match.
All is fair in love and war, right?"
Mathias Wade, the lead singer of Willow Creek, is used to getting everything he wants. Except for Remy Parker—the one that got away. Childhood friends that grew into more, Remy was the one constant in his life until she moved away. In anger, he lashed out and broke the only girl he ever loved. With temptation around every corner Mathias drowns his sorrow in women and alcohol. When the band returns to their hometown for the holidays the last thing Mathias expects is to run into Remy—but she’s back, and she’s not done with him.
Remy never forgot Mathias or the pain he caused her. When she moves back to the place she grew up to take care of her ailing grandma her heart is set on revenge. She’s determined to make Mathias fall in love with her all over again—only this time she’s going to break his heart.
But Mathias never stopped loving Remy—and she soon discovers that her feelings haven’t disappeared either.

This book is f**king epic! I couldn’t put this book down if I tried.
It was their second chance. They were already a ticking time bomb during their first time, and they say the love is sweeter the second time around – for these two, it was a bit scary, and yet, you couldn’t help but want the both of them to find their happy ending, and most especially peace. Meeting Mathias Wade in the first book had me off-guard at first, I didn’t know how can I possibly like him when darkness surrounds his being, and yet, by the end of the story, I already liked him. There was something good and sweet inside, which was quite refreshing, as surprising seeing that other side of him. At a young age, two broken people met, and fell in love. But when Remy’s family decided to move, he broke her. And she was never the same again. Now she was back, baby sitting her ailing grandmother, meeting Mathias and deciding to break him too was on top of her priority list. But after all these years, can she really forget the feelings Mathias Wade stirs in her? Mathias was hard work; all he sees was the bad side of stuffs. I can’t blame him after all that he has been through. Their initial meeting was a blast. Mathias can be hot, then cold. He wants her close, then he wants to run her out of town. Good thing, she was there to stay, and just like the old days, she was tough enough to stand against the likes of Mathias. Her grandmother was the life of the story. I can’t help but laugh whenever she shows up in the scene. She never fails to give her granddaughter some words of wisdom and banters that will have you laughing in no time. Her humor was amazing. Such a cool old lady. When feelings once again resurfaced and everything was going smoothly, a secret threatens to drive them apart once again. Remy was scared to tell him. It broke her once, and she didn’t know how to tell him. I wished she did. It would have been initially painful, but at least she was honest with him rather than keeping that one big secret to herself. How can two stubborn people have their happy ending? Love is never too late, especially when you're fated for each other. No matter how much pain, how many secrets and how many people come in between. If you're meant to be, you will be together. It was one rough, entertaining ride – a whole lot of ups and downs, but never boring. I always love second chance romance, and since it’s an old, common plot, Micalea Smeltzer made sure she had something different to offer her readers. So be ready to laugh, break your hearts and fall in love NEVER TOO LATE.
It was a good read and had a great story line. Loved Remy. She was strong and funny.
I love this story. There is depth to the characters and the storyline is a fully developed plot. I think Micalea has a great writing style and I enjoyed reading about Mathias and Remy. I Love that their friends have depth also, so often the secondary characters are ignored. I love the band Willow Creek! This series is shaping up to be a new favorite of mine. The descriptions are written so well you can visualize them. Mathias has a major role in this book as the lead singer. I love that he is such an ass. It is great to see Remy busting his! I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
