Wonderful book by an amazing woman. Poems are so beautiful and touching. Realistic poetry that brings a smile to everyone that reads them! Such a beautiful person Laura is to share her wonderful poetry with us! Thanks Laura and looking forward to many more books from you.....I am going to start cleaning out my book shelves to make room for them.

I'm not a poet. I'm not even sure I understood poetry until I was given this book as a gift this past week. Like Laura Chagnon, the poet who put the book together, I am a quadriplegic. The difference being that I have been sitting around since the date of my accident feeling sorry for myself. Hearing Laura's story and the way she has held no remorse towards her attackers coupled with the way she spends her days creating poetry has given me incentive to do the same. Thank you Laura for the gift contained between the covers of this book and for the gift you have provided for me.

There are 2 things that struck me about "Never Touched A Pen" by Laura Chagnon. First, this lady has overcome incredible odds just to still be here and then to publish her book. Someone who is quadriplegic, legally blind and has a head injury where she suffers from short-term memory loss is an example of the strength of the human spirit. Despite those obstacles, Laura is flat out a fantastic poet. She covers a wide range of topics with superb skill. One's life will truly be inspired after reading the amazing poetry of this incredible woman.
