Overview

A thrilling new novella from the author of the Everneath series!

Jack is trapped for eternity in the Tunnels while Nikki has managed to evade Cole's grasp . . . for now. But Cole is more desperate than ever to find answers about Nikki, his best chance for taking over the throne of the underworld. How did she survive the Feed? Can Cole find another Forfeit like her who can survive it too?

Cole's quest leads him to the other side of the world, to a mysterious, dangerous society known as the Delphinians, whose price for information might be higher than Cole can pay—a price that could destroy Nikki. But when Cole attempts to steal the answers instead, his mission ends in disaster. Faced with centuries in a Delphinian dungeon, Cole is confronted with questions he's been too scared to ask himself: Is he really obsessed with the throne—or is he obsessed with Nikki? And can she really give him a new beginning as the Everneath's king . . . or will she instead bring about his tragic end?

I finally broke down and read it in just 3 hours! It was the best 3 hours of my life and I just can't wait until January 21 when Evertrue comes out!! :D

I loved this series and can't wait for the next book. The beginning of the first book is so painfully touching yet intriguing at the same time. So different from the run of the mill vampire, magic books I still love to read. If you are looking for a hard to put down book...I highly recommend this one.

I'd say 3.5 stars, really... It is a great look into the person of Cole. He is a deeper character than Ms. Ashton makes of him in the first book, but he's a bit dense at times... I like seeing the conflict within him, when he isn't supposed to really have any. This certainly gives you a better look at Cole heading into book 2 of the series.

Gawww I don't know what it is about these books. I am usually SO not into mythology and immortal type genres but these book are just SO captivating. So much respect to Brodi Ashton for her imagination and extreme writing ability.

I am disappointed that this is only in eBook format. I love this series but I do not have a personal computer and as such am not able to get this story! :(

I loved this just for the fact it's told in Cole's POV. Even though I'm Team Jack all the way! He goes on an adventure to figure out how Nikki survived. The story is like the 1st book - flips between present and past. The past is of course about Nikki.
