I bought 2 of these Cookbooks, one for my daughter, and one for my daughter-in-law. They are fairly inexperienced cooks and it was great to see them proud of what they were able to do with the Cookbook. I had a older version that was given to me by my Mother that I love. I now want this one as it has a lot more info in it. I am ordering another one!!!

This was a gift for my sister and her husband. They love it! She has made many of the recipes and they both very much enjoy the outcomes! The recipes are easy to follow -- this is a great cookbook to have on hand!

I gave this cookbook to my niece for Christmas, she is 14 and likes to bake and cook, she wants to someday be a chef, so I thought this would help her out. My mom and I both have this cookbook, and it has not changed since she got hers 60 yrs ago. I recommend this cookbook for anyone who likes to cook and bake. It is also good for a bridal shwoer gift.

This is a classic, and for good reason. My mother had one when I was growing up and it was how I learned to cook. I just bought the latest edition for myself and it's better than I remember! The recipes are easy to find and follow. Love the tab indexing. This is a staple cookbook everyone should have in their kitchen.

Having needed (for some time) to replace my Better Homes and Gardens "New" Cookbook (it was $7.99 in paperback, and I've had it since at least 30 years) ... which lives with duct-tape and a rubber band inside a zip-lock bag, I very carefully scrutinized ALL the available B&N editions. Finally deciding on this one as the closest to my original (but in hardback, for better wear), I waited with great anticipation. I was severely disappointed as soon as it arrived and turned to the Bread section (we're big on homemade bread around here, and not only are there 17 fewer recipes, but easily half are for bread-makers, I live off the grid). I would have returned it at that point, but the original wrapping (and label) had already been thrown out and the trash collected. The text format (3-ring binder) is nice, because recipies lie flat, and the photos are very nice. BUT ... I've now decided that I'm getting some clear page-covers and will be slipping in 8 pages of my OLD cookbook into each (4 to a side) and have the better part of both worlds. If anyone knows about a cookbook made for people living off the grid (limited electricity without the generator, etc), please do let me know! In the meantime, I'll probably order one of these for each of my sons (with the added clear pages holding MY recipes) and the same thing but with the Pink Edition (for Breast Cancer Awareness) for my daughters.

I have the older one (from 1985 era) which I got as a wedding present. We have always used it and now I have passed it on to my son and I have the new one. I love it, it has all sorts of new recipes and old favorites with quick additions like microwave and fast and low fat changes. I love this and will most likely keep it for another 15 years.

I have had two copies of this cookbook since I started cooking ove 50 years ago. It is truly the best cookbook ever. I bought it this time for my granddaighter who will soon starting her own household. It is the perfect book for beginner cooks and also advanced cooks.

My 25 year-old son ASKED for the BH&G cookbook by name for his birthday since he remembered I used mine all the time. This was his first cookbook and I felt comfortable knowing he would be able to prepare meals with ease using these recipes. I learned to cook out of an earlier version and knew he would have great success with it also.

the cookbook is called the good life favorite italian recipes by: Frank J. Imbergamo. this cookbook is awsome--all traditional recipes! these recipes are also very easy which makes it even better!! bravo 5 stars!!
