Weed offers valuable information on ways to manage menopausal symptoms without resorting to "traditonal" methods such as HRT. The way in which she offers several levels of intervention is also useful. She shows you how you can do something as simple as meditate and moves up the scale to herbs and tonics all the way to what she calls "Break and Enter" which refers to surgery, hrt, and other more "traditional" techniques. This book, along with regular acupuncture, helped me manage my symptoms and I am sure i had a much easier time because of Weed's insights. Weed understands what this time of transition is like and she writes with compassion and warmth. On many sleepless nights I have turned to my old "friend" for comfort. The is a great book. A definite must for women approaching menopause or for those who have been thrown into menopause through surgery.

I have read this book many times and have even given it away to my friends. This book gives you the answers to many questions about menopause and what to do for it's symptoms! (From the least about you can do for the problem to a more clinical approach!) It really answered my questions and was a great 'read' as well!
