Do not be fooled by its size. It is small enough to put in your pocket. I could not do without the compass. We refered to this little book every minute. The compass was so inportant. When you are in the subways you can get turned around and lose you sence of direction. The pop up maps are great. They have resturant guides ect. I have already bought 3 books for my friends.
I am so thrilled with this purchase! I bought one each for my sisters and mother, who are accompanying me on a trip to NYC for my mom's 60th birthday. Includes a compass on the outside spine and an ink pen imbedded in the inside spine, as well. What a great gift and great map, also!!!
I bought this book for every member of my family that has come out to NYC to visit. It is the perfect book for the out-of-towner who wants to hit both the major NYC spots as well as some of the not-so-famous ones. It is definitely a great book for the explorer type as well as the tourist-attraction lover.
