I live in the area of Tehachapi and so was attracted to this book. However, after I read it, I realized it should be of interest to any age group, as the characters span the ages of elementary school children to great grandparents. There are problems in this family, but they make progress over the holidays. They have been apart for many years. Their problems represent difficulties experienced by many families. Very easy read. I am a former school teacher and recommend it for 6th grade to older generations! Fran Bowie
