We all have things that are trying to hold us back: guilt from past mistakes, temptations that we can't seem to overcome, or dysfunctions that have been passed down. It's easy to learn to live with these problems and accept them as who we are. We can all find a reason to live like we're at a disadvantage and become negative and bitterwe came down with an illness, somebody walked out of a relationship, our boss overlooked us. But we have to say, "I'm done making excuses. I'm not going to let the past keep me from moving forward and benefitting from the good things God has in store." It is time to say, "It is finished."
In his new book, IT IS FINISHED, Joel Osteen writes that we weren't created to go through life weighed down by addictions, dysfunction, guilt, or the past. God created us to be free. Joel encourages readers to leave behind the negative mindsets, the scarcity mentality, and the limitations others have put on us, and shows us how to step into new levels of victory, new levels of favor.

Joel has such an amazing way of taking the enormity of understanding God and having it make sense. His words have such a healing power. I like the way Joel sees God. In a world with so much harm and violence bring orchestrated in the name of God. It's so comforting to know as Joel explains to us about the correct way.of viewing God of love. Joel's words helps me remember that since NO ONE else seems to remember that and willing to not only remind others, but practice it themselves. Joel does both. I appreciate his version of Christianity.
A very lifting and inspiring book i am very happy that i took the time to read it, it helped me understand more about my personal struggles ,and why i need to stay in faith and trust more in our lord and savior, Jesus Christ, Thank you very much.
Love Love Love this book!!! Wonderful Book!!!! Must have!!! This helped me so much!!!
In my not so humble opinion, Joel Osteen is nothing but a glorified motivational speaker and NOT a "preacher" in the sense of the hellfire & brimstone" preachers like his own father (who I loved hearing speak), T.D. Jakes, and others. Joel and his wife and children live in a multi-million dollar home provided by the money that these kinds of books (& his television ministry) bring in. Joel always shows us a God of love...and while that's true, God is love, God is also a "just" God and a "chastising" God. I guess what I'm trying to say is that Joel seems to forget that you can't just make it to heaven on "positive thoughts" alone!!!! You have to have a relationship....a one-on-one relationship with the Lord. Joel also seems to think that being extremely wealthy will put you in total favor with God so that you can get everything your little heart desires......WRONG!! God doesn't work that way. Can you tell that I am NOT a Joel Osteen fan???? I hope so......because that's the point of my post.
