The work is a masterpiece. The story flowed like a river and made a very interesting reading. It is impossible to put down and do other things until one has completed reading. I fell in love with the characters in this story about Nfudu - a young woman who moves to Paris in the early nineteen sixties to start a career in fashion. She gets entangled in a love triangle even though that was not the main focus of the story. Her journey to succeed in both love and life took me on a ride as it draws attention to so many important issues such as class, culture, race, crime, etc. It makes really intriguing reading.
