When a woman is found raped and murdered in her home, Criminal Investigator Cage Foster believes she is a victim of a serial rapist who is stalking Adams County. But why did the woman's attacker dial 911?
Medical examiner Summer Jordan also believes the rapes are related, but Cage's boss disagrees and sends him after a known petty criminal in the county's African-American community, fueling racial tensions.
Ignoring her order could mean career suicide, but Cage doesn't have time for office politics or petty grudges. The Night Terror has already chosen his next victim.
Will Cage be able to figure out the attacker's next move in time, or will another woman meet the same terrible fate?

Clay Foster is a wonderful character, trying to stay morally on point in a gray world His love of family and home leads him to think about life rather than b a one dementional man of action THis the third detective book in the series and have to quit writing so I start reading the fourth as soon as I can My only complaint is that they are not long enough and leave me wanting more and more
I regret not having found Stacy Green sooner. I've never read a lot of suspense novels, but have always been a fan of shows like Criminal Minds and that's what this series reminds me of. I absolutely love the mysteries, the edge of your seat suspense, and the growing background of the characters that happens in each installment. I can't wait to read the last one.
I have taken a shine to our hero, Cage Foster. He seems to be pretty ready for racial prejudice to take a hike out of his town and into oblivion....couldn't we all use that! He uses his instincts as a trained cop and listens to his gut feelings. He is the kind of cop we'd love to have on our side when it comes to a serious accusation. Of course, novellas are short, read fast and cut directly to the chase. This was no different. It was very well plotted, flowed smoothly and provided a nice tidy mystery with all the key elements necessary to bring satisfaction to the reader. My natural mystery solving abilities had pretty much established the "who dun it" in this story, but it was an enjoyable read, nonetheless! I would highly recommend this to mystery buffs everywhere.
I have read all of this authors books. Fast and easy reading, with a good who-dun it. Highly recommend!!! Also, while I'm far from being a prude, i'ts refreshing NOT to read about wild sex and having the "F" bomb dropped every page.
