For anyone who lives in Minnesota they need to read this book about the most famous shipwreck on Lake Superior. This book gives great details about the Fitzgerald sinking, also examines the theories on why it sank. Hugh E. Bishop does a great job of interviewing the captain Dudley J. Paquette and getting specific details from the captain. Overall this is a great and enticing book.

This is a good book about the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald once you get to page 80 or so. Prior to page 80 the book focuses on a ego driven captain on the great lakes that could do no wrong. He is very knowledgable and I agree with his theory and evidence about why the Fitz sank. His endless stories that have nothing to do with the Fitz is not why I bought this book. His stories talk about how great he is and how perfect he was as a captain. I feel that if he wants to talk about his career he should write a book about his career and not about the Fitz.
