My Review: This is book 2 of Norah Wilson's Vampire romance series and I liked it just as much as I did the first. These are, quite simply, just really good and entertaining books. Aiden is a hunter of rogue vampires who works for Delano (hero from book #1, The Merzetti Effect.) In this world, there are two types of vampires...normal, nice ones and then those who prey on others for blood, usually killing them. In this vampire world, taking blood from others without their permission is the equivalent of rape. The problems with the rogues is that they not only rape the blood and mind, but they also usually kill their victims. Aiden hunts and disposes of these rogue vampires. Ainsley is the heroine of this novel. Ainsley is a professional storm photographer. She is especially good at what she does because she is somehow psychically in tune with the violence of storms and has a precognition of when they are going to happen. Through a psychic quirk, they discover that Ainsley's psychic skills also apply to the violence of the rogue vampires. She knows when one is going to strike. Unfortunately, Ainsley has been used for her psychic powers before so she is VERY reluctant to team up with Aiden, but when people are being murdered, her moral compass won't let her say no to helping him. This is a really powerful book. Aiden chose to become a vampire for the express purpose of hunting rogues. His passion is his work, but that doesn't make the fact that people are dying any easier on him mentally. Ainsley doesn't want to be involved at all, but she is so strong. As these two get to know each other, the beauty of their growing relationship and empathy is really gorgeous. They connect and it is just so perfectly done...for both of their personalities. I loved their love story and did not see how it was going to work out. Again, this was a book that had me gasping out loud when the twists began. Never in my wildest dreams did I see where it was going...whoa! So good!!! I am always leery when a self-pubbed author contacts me, because let's be honest, there are some not so great self-pubbed books out there. But, OMG, these books by Norah Wilson do NOT fall into that category. These two books are A.MAZ.ING!! They are as good or better as any other published paranormal books out on the market today. They are superbly written with wonderful characters that I simply fell in love with. I can't wait to see where else she goes with this series! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these books if you love Paranormal Romance!

Sexy Vampires at their best! This is the second book in A Vampire Romance series. I loved it! Aiden Afflack is a vampire on a mission - to track down rogue vampires. He is a fantastic character. He is very strong, fast and extremely dangerous. He is also very confident, which borders on arrogant. We briefly met him near the end of The Merzetti Effect. He intrigued me (and scared me!) then, but this is his story, and I must admit that he has become a serious book crush! He's seriously HOT! ;) Samantha Shea (she prefers Sam) is a fantastic character too. She is a feisty and stubborn woman, who happens to be an amazing nature photographer. She seems to have the ability to sense when a weather event is about to happen. When she stumbles on Aiden during one of his missions, sparks fly! This is a fantastic paranormal romance novel! I think I liked this book a lot more than The Merzetti Effect; Maybe it's because I didn't like what Delano did to Ainsley. Anyway, this book seriously caught and held my attention from the first page. There is a lot of danger in the form of the rogues. They are definitely nasty! I wouldn't want to meet those vampires! The story is a slight continuation of The Merzetti Effect, and Delano, Ainsley and Eli make an appearance. However, it is the romance of Aiden and Sam that steams up the pages! It is told from both of their perspectives, and is a roller coaster ride from start to finish. I don't know why ladies (me included) always go for the "bad boys" in books. Maybe it's because they appeal to our more primitive brain? Maybe it's because they're not really "bad boys" as such, but very decisive and take charge types, who know what they want. Aiden Afflack is definitely one of those types, and I think that he and Sam make a great couple. I hope that there will be a new story in this series soon! Norah Wilson has written a fast paced, steamy paranormal romance that had my heart racing for many different reasons! I do not recommend this book to younger readers due to the sensual nature of some of the scenes. I do, however, recommend this book (and series) if you love steamy paranormal romances with sexy vampires! - Lynn Worton

Aiden Afflack is a 200+ yr old vampire who also happens to be a vampire hunter. Samantha ‘Sam’ Shea is a photographer with a gift for more than fantastic weather pictures. Her dreams tell her where weather in its violent beauty will be and she travels to photograph it. Then her path crosses Aiden’s and she starts dreaming of violent vampire attacks. They team up to stop the rogues from preying on humans and that’s when things get interesting. I loved this story! Aiden is a strong, hot, dangerous, yummy, intelligent, hot (did I mention that?) vampire with a sense of humor who is also a fantastic cook. I want him! Sam is a beautiful, intelligent, independent, spunky mortal with a special talent for finding violence in her dreams, be it weather or vampire. Loved the characters and writing style, the story flowed smoothly and the sexual tension between the characters was great. I loved that Sam didn’t give in to her lust for Aiden right away. That can be so annoying! I also loved the humor interspersed throughout (the scene with Sam’s leg cramp had me LOL-ing because I’ve so been there!) and the action scenes were paced just right. I hate long action scenes. I hate long descriptive scenes, too. What can I say? I’m an impatient person. I want more of this world! Impatient, remember? And hungry for more! Bring on the stories for Eli, RJ, Garret and Liss then maybe I’ll be satiated. *The author provided a copy of this book to me for review. Disclaimer on my blog.

This novel centers around, Aiden Afflack. Aiden is Dr. Delano’s most trusted friend and a vampire hunter. We briefly met this sexy, two hundred year old vampire at the end of book one. Wilson delivers an exciting story, filled with danger, romance and some very sizzling love scenes. I was quickly caught up in the tale and thoroughly enjoyed it. Protagonist Sam Shea is a nature photographer who captures the raw energy of dangerous weather phenomena. In order to capture these weather events, Sam follows her dreams; literally. She will wake up in the middle of the night with a detailed location and time. She immediately write it down and heads there the next evening. One dream leads her to Aiden, and she is captivated by his raw energy. Her next dream leads her to an encounter that will open her eyes to the world of vampires. When a rogue vampire attacks, she witnesses Aiden taking out the vampire. The tale that unfolds is fascinating, quick paced, and action-packed. The romance between Sam and Aiden is hot enough to melt your e-reader. For the delicate reader, be warned some scenes are very detailed and had this reader blushing. I liked Sam and her curious nature and Aiden’s story touched me. Some of the interaction between the two of them had me laughing aloud and I found myself rooting for them.

I love this story. Granted, I missed the first book but this is a great stand-alone addition to the series. I love the storyline and connection between the main characters. Very fun and enjoyable read.

I got this in an 11 book set of different authors.  I have to say I'm not a huge fan of paranormal books.  However, I found this book very good.  The story line kept me reading.  Even if you don't care for paranormal give this book a try.  I think you'll find it entertaining.

This series is beyond adictive. I have no intention of going to an O.A. (over readers annonimous) meeting. When think of the characters while at work, when you dream about the story in your sleep, those are signs of an amazing author. I cannot wait to inmerse myself into this world again and again.

A vampire-hunter tale with a couple of unique twists, this is a very enjoyable read. A sexy hero on a mission meets a strong, beautiful photographer whose psychic dreams can help him in his quest, and sparks fly while  they go deeper and deeper into danger. The solution to their problem will surprise you.
