Meet the Author

Jennifer Estep is a New York Times bestselling author, prowling the streets of her imagination in search of her next fantasy idea.

Jennifer is the author of the Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series. The books focus on Gin Blanco, an assassin codenamed the Spider who can control the elements of Ice and Stone. When she's not busy killing people and righting wrongs, Gin runs a barbecue restaurant called the Pork Pit in the fictional Southern metropolis of Ashland. The city is also home to giants, dwarves, vampires, and elementals-Air, Fire, Ice, and Stone.

Jennifer is also the author of the Mythos Academy young adult urban fantasy series. The books focus on Gwen Frost, a 17-year-old Gypsy girl who has the gift of psychometry, or the ability to know an object's history just by touching it. After a serious freak-out with her magic, Gwen is shipped off to Mythos Academy, a school for the descendants of ancient warriors like Spartans, Valkyries, Amazons, and more.

Jennifer is also the author of the Bigtime paranormal romance series. The books feature sexy superheroes, evil ubervillains, and smart, sassy gals looking for love.

Dare to be different! When I discovered he Bigtime series, it was as if someone blended my childhood love of comics with my guilty pleasure romance books. They all make for fun reads and the characters are amusing at times in their handling of superpowers and daily lives. I cannot wait for the next one.

I have enjoyed the entire Bigtime series and this was no exception. The story was well done and it was nice to return to the world that introduced me to Jennifer Estep's very skilled writing. I would love to read more of the Bigtime books in the future. The characters in Nightingale weren't her strongest and a couple of times I winced at the deliberate obtuseness of the main female character, but they were few and far between and the rest of the story more than made up for it.

I absolutely adore the Bigtime Superhero series and was so sad when Estep stopped after the third book. I am very very happy to read another. This 4th book certainly lived up to all the rest. I really enjoyed this read and recommend it to others.

This is my favorite book of the series. I think that many of us can relate to Abby. Especially those of us working in the service industry! It can be very easy to feel like part of the background.
