As perfect genetic matches for the leaders of the planet NINE, Faith and her friends must prevent an assimilation of their souls. Training her soul to resist won't be easy. In fact, she'll have to die first. A soul can't fight back while it's still attached to a living being. Faced with a nearly impossible choice, run away or stay and be trained, she summons the fearlessness to fight. Maybe she's finally found the real reason she's survived her illness, to restore the concept of dying by grand design rather than government mandate.

About the Author
He likes to take in movies with his wife, pretend he's a child again with his grandsons, and play golf. Although-most of the time he'll admit that golf-more often than not-plays him. Just ask the country club cart keeper who found a gaping hole in the windshield. He thinks his 150 dollar green fee should more than take care of it. Or at the least, buy some clear duct tape.
He's a Kent State University graduate with a minor in psychology and concentration in creative writing, a published playwright with Brooklyn Publishing, and most importantly a Child of God. With Him, none of this publishing stuff would ever be possible. Kudos to His faithfulness.
Most of all he looks forward to taking his readers by the hand and leading them to places they want and don't want to go sometimes and to learn a few life lessons along the way. He looks forward to sharing book two and three in the series with you. Enjoy the journey. Have Faith.

Nine was amazing and I think D.M. King is a great writer. The book was suspenseful and sometimes a little scary. He has definitely fooled me a couple of times with this book. I have read it about 15 times since I received my copy of it months ago. This novel is perfect. It's something definitely out of this world and I think that when you're having a bad day, getting into Faith and her friends story can show you just how easy we really have it. At least we're not dealing with an alien apocalypse. This is by far the most amazing book and I love it. Five star rating for D.M. King!!!!
If you liked Unwind, The 5th Wave, and Divergent, you may enjoy NINE by D.M. King. Survival, suspense, friendships, government conspiracy, a quest represent some of the themes in the novel.
