Chloe King is a seemingly normal girl. She goes to class (most of the time), fights with her mom, and crushes on a boy…or two. But around her sixteenth birthday, Chloe finds that perhaps she isn’t so normal after all. There’s the heightened night vision, the superfast reflexes—oh, and the claws.

As Chloe discovers who she is—and where she comes from—it is clear she is not alone. Someone is trying to get her. And they will stop at nothing until they do. Chloe has nine lives…but will nine be enough?

First released as a trilogy in 2004, this bind-up edition arrives just as the new ABC Family original series The Nine Lives of Chloe King, based closely on the original novels, premieres in June 2011.

The Noine Lives of Chloe King was simply and purely awesome. All three books are in here, no doubt about it.So much cheaper than buying them individually. Chloe was a really lovable character that you could sort of relate with in some situations. Her choice between Alyec and Brian (and sometimes even Xander)kept me on my toes. A must read and a must see as it is now a TV show on ABC family.

This book was a great easy to read story that I didn't want to put down. I picked it up after watching the tv show of the same name, and as is usually the case, found the book to be much better. I would recommend this to teens and adults alike. Happy Reading!

The book is awesome. You see what mistakes Chloe King makes understand what she is feeling. Its slides easily into each and every detail. I would suggest this if you like fiction and books that keep you on the edge of your seat!

If you are looking to see what happened to Brain in the abc family series then you won't get it here. Even though this is a great book the abc family series only take parts of the book and puts it in the show. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a book to read but not for looking to see what happens in the show.

I loved this book. I could never put it down! The TV show is based loosly around the book but still enjoyable.

Chloe king is one of the most entertaining reads for tweens and teens. The suspense of her love between Alyec and Brian (Team Alyec all the way) and Chloe discovering her new exciting-but often dangourous- life as anpart of the Mai race. I would highly recommend this book as well as the tv series which i LOVE :) As most people have heard The Nine Lives of Chloe King will be not making a second season. BUT.... the producers of the show are talking about a movie so keep your fingers crossed!!!

I did like the book a lot, but I was really confused about whether she had a brother that had nine lives like her, or if he was dead. Plus, the ending was really cheesy.

Well in this book there is the highly used romance scenario the love triangle. It has been used in this book very heavily and unoriginally. It is a good read but should have been less focused on the boring love triangle. It is predictable and slow at some parts but also have intetesting parts with detail and orginal thinking.

So many people have criticized this book, but personally I loved it on tv and in the book. However not many people hear about it. hmmmmm.

I disliked Chole. A lot. She acts way too old for herself. Chole plays hockie with 2 friends cause it's her b- day the next day and one of her friends will not be present. They were gonna drink a bottle of vodka (keep in mind that they're fifteen) when Chole falls two hundred feet from the tower she was climbing. (i'm not gonna explain the setting to you) Her friends took her to the hospital, but she only had a few brusies, cause she has nine lives. Of course her over protective mom found out that they skiped school and got mad at Chole even though she almost died a couple hours ago. Chole was mad at this so she ran to a club. The gaurd let the 15 year old into the club cause her shoes were old school ( really?) and she meets this random guy, who seems ten years older than her, who buys her red bull and vodka, dances with her, and when they were about to leave they start to make out in the parking lot. Things started to get heated, really heated. I't said, now this is how i rememmber it exactly: "we were about an inch from having sex when we pulled away". It also mentioned that his hands were all over her and "he's not like the other guys i've kissed". Whoa. Just how many guys have you kissed? I know that most girls have a first kiss at 13 or 14 but that sounded like she kissed a lot more that just maybe 2 guys. That was some of the overly detailed examples. The idea of the story was craetive, but i found it hard to see things from. Chole's view when i disliked her like that.

For a quick simple read I'd recommend this book. It's very well written and from the moment you pick it up it's hard to put down. It's not really appropriate for kids under 14 I think, there is a lot to do with "coming of age" situations, but if you're older than 14, even an adult, it's pretty catchy. I loved how it was a "modern world" set up and the added point that life can be more complicated than what you want at times. It's different than the TV show, but it's still just as addictive. It does leave you hanging a bit at the end, with small questions, but overall still a good read.

Not a bad story, but not for adults. This is for the Allana (Tamora Pierce) set, preteens will love it. However, it is very slow and predictable until book 3. Worth the wait if you can get to it though. Otherwise, go read Pierce or the hunger games, both are better.

I found the books to be good, but i only found out about them after i watched the show. I was so disapointed that they stopped the show because the books were so good that they should atleast finish the series.

I understand ABC is making this into a TV show, that should be interesting! It was a great read. Not sure that I approve of it promoting teenage drinking and some of the adult behavior. Otherwise it was a fantastic read, love the storyline.

GREAT BOOK- but if you are watching the tv show, then you will be disappointed. The book does not follow the tv show much, only the characters are the same. I love Chloe's Character you can relate to her so much. I read this book in a week and wish the author would have left room for another book. Great read!

Chloe king reminds me of myself. She is uber confused and just wants to find her place in this crazy world. Who doesnt? And when youadd two cute guys into the mix it is impossible to resist. Not exactly the same as the really kool tv show. Its even better. No offense intended skylar samuels.

I recommend this book for girls ages 13-15. The writing is a little slow, but it helps to take your mind off things. The plot is also somewhat unusual and thus, interesting. Chloe is a very fun character to read. If you watched the TV show, this is definitely something you want to check out because many of the threads were left hanging when the show was cancelled.

I really liked this book. It had adventure, action, romance, and sci-fi all wrapped up in one book. Although tyhis bok was quite the variety i did not understand the relationship between paul and amy or how nobody even caught on about the firebird mansion being more than just a agency. and also I thought that chloe was incredibly stupid for staying home when people were out to get her and they knew where she lived! I also didn't like brians character. I thought it could have been not even in the book and alyec and chloe would have done just fine. Although i thought this book had alot of wierd parts, I did admire how the author had the bravery to make it be so there was a new race people looked over, and i thought she did a great job at that. Iwuld reccommend this book

It¿s Chloe¿s sixteenth birthday and it¿s going along fine, until she falls out of the water tower and dies. The thing is, she doesn¿t stay dead. Chloe wakes up a few minutes after the fall completely fine, nothing broken, not much hurts, and no evidence that earlier she fell a hundred feet to her death. No normal human could fall a hundred feet, die, and then go home fine without even a scratch, but to Chloe¿s dismay she isn¿t a normal human.Agile, exhilarating speed and sharp claws are the qualities that describe the Mia race. Half cat half human, all fierce. The author, Liz Braswell, takes us along for Chloe¿s exhilarating experience as she discovers and develops her catlike abilities. The best thing about The Nine Lives of Chloe King is the creativity behind the story. It takes a good imagination to write an interesting story about a girl turning into a cat, and it takes an even better imagination to make the book take as many unexpected twists and turns as The Nine lives of Chloe King did. Cat person or not you can¿t help liking the main character Chloe. Even though her experience isn¿t relatable (how many people can say they discovered they have claws and other cat-like abilities?) her personality is. She acts reasonably for a teenage girl who was living a normal life when all of a sudden she isn¿t who she thought she was. I have no complaints about The Nine Live of Chloe King and would recommend it to girls around age twelve and up to whatever age they are if they think the book sounds even a little interesting.
