This book is just what I needed! It's like having a conversation with a friend as she lets you into her messiness and finds freedom! So glad she shared this message! Get the book; read the book; share the book, it will change how you view your job of parenting.

We all need to be reminded that, “God made you the mom of your child on purpose.” Becky does that in a beautiful and encouraging way. I don’t know any mom that does not struggle daily with feeling inadequate, every single one of us needs to hear and live Becky’s message.

I've read a lot of parenting books over the last 15 years, but I have never read one that made me cry before page three. It's incredible the way Becky's voice lifts off the pages and whispers in your ear, that "Yes, you were made for this mothering job. That God didn't make a mistake in making you the mother of your child." This book is the perfect read for a mom of sweet babies all the way up to the grown children leaving the nest. Top of my suggested reading list for moms!

I have to admit, so many times when I start reading a Christian/faith based book, I struggle. It isn’t too far into that I catch myself with the whole “oh geeze, here we go again” and I have a hard time finishing. This is not one of those books. No Better Mom for the Job is a breath of fresh air. Becky Keife writes in such a manner that you feel as though you are hearing from a loving, reassuring friend who’s been through all the crazy. She is completely vulnerable and 100% transparent; you know she’s been there, you know she’s shed more than her fair share of tears out. She makes you realize that you are not at all alone. So much of the pages in my book are highlighted with a “yes!” or hearts written in the margin. I can undoubtedly say that this book was written for me. And I tell you what, it was written for you, too.

Blessed Encouragement for moms!! Reading Becky's words brought me back to my days of being a young mom. (I'm a mom of two and granny of 7) You don't realize how vulnerable and insecure you will be when your first little person emerges into the world, but the minute you hold your first babe, you feel a bit wobbly yourself. I can't imagine too many run the race of motherhood with great confidence. Becky vulnerably shares her challenges and the wisdom that emerged from her (sometimes painful) experiences. I could relate to being surprised by having a short fuse and reacting in anger which resulted in mom-guilt. She also addreseses lonliness and longing for friendship and how to move past the things that hold you back. She gives very practical encouragement and tips along with prayers to enable every mom to find confidence that God is with you in the trenches and has matched you and your children intentiaonally with the guarantee of grace to enable you to enjoy the parenting journey.

Beautiful, encouraging book! Reading this book was like drinking in cool, refreshing water. It was such a relief to find out that the author, along with the many moms she knows, have the same overwhelming feelings that I’ve had. The themes of gratitude and friendship pervade this book, surrounding the central message that although I may feel like I’m not good enough to parent my child well, God made me as the perfect fit with my child, and He is ready and waiting with grace, mercy, and strength to make up for my lack. Thank you, Becky Keife, for being real, honest, and encouraging!

I have had the pleasure of hearing Becky speak and share about her journey of motherhood several times and each time I have walked away feeling encouraged, understood and supported. I am beyond thrilled that her words are now written down in a book that I can share with all my mama friends! I just finished reading chapter 3 and I can’t wait to read the rest! Becky is so real and honest and I know this book is going to bless so many mamas on their own motherhood journeys!

"Childhood isn't something to rush past, push through. The same can be said of motherhood. Their delight over snowflakes and dragonflies is our invitation to remember that watching them grow is a gift to be cherished." Becky Keife I love these words of encouragement from Becky Kiefe. These are words that I wished I could have read a few years ago as a mom of three young children. In No Better Mom for the Job Becky Kiefe invites us to trade our overwhelm and feelings of inadequacy for thankfulness and the reassurance that God is with us in our mothering journey. Reading this book felt like having a talk with a good friend. I would recommend this book to any mom.

I love this book!  Although I am not a mom, I found this book to be so helpful as an aunt to 5 boys. Becky is so honest with her feelings towards motherhood and the three boys that God gave her.  One line from her introduction will encourage the reader to keep on moving forward.  It is a prayer, "God, I don't believe You made a mistake in making me my kids' mom.  Even on days I feel inadequate, I believe You have called me to this role and that You are willing and able to equip me to be the mom my children need.  Please walk this motherhood road with me" (pg. 17).
Becky provides the reader with one simple step to practice each day, along with a prayer.  The book is filled with Scripture and real, raw stories that everyone who has interactions with children can relate to.  I recommend this book for any mom, aunt, grandma who have questioned their why these children are in their lives and if they can make it.  Becky takes you by the hand, gives you a hug and reminds the reader that they got this!

Oh, how I wish I’d had this book 15 years ago! My oldest is 16 now, but when he was a toddler I was struggling with so many questions. I wondered….Was leaving my cool(ish) job to stay home with my son the right choice? Would I love, nurture, and teach him well? Would every mistake I made scar him for life? Fearful and doubting my abilities, but sure no one else felt the same way, I projected a confidence I didn’t have. That bravado had a cost – isolation – and it took me about 4 years (and another kid) before I started to be honest. Honest with myself and real with others. I finally let my guard down and admitted, “I’m not perfect, and I need help sometimes, but overall I’m doing alright at this and I’ve found a few things that help.” What I learned are the same things that Becky Keife learned, and she shares them all and MORE here in wise, warm, consoling words. Her 10 beautiful “how-to” chapters cover everything from finding real friendship, losing your cool and recovering from it, to regaining proper perspective when circumstances threaten your balance (every day, right?). She offers heartwarming stories from the trenches of her own life, practical tips, and powerful prayers you can use right away. Becky Keife ‘gets’ us moms. All the pressures, all the expectations, and most importantly, all that negative talk we have rolling around in our heads. She tells us to lay it all down at God’s feet and let Him extend to us His grace. Lots of Grace. Don’t wait years to try to learn all this stuff on your own. Get your copy of this book today.

This book is so life-giving! Becky writes as if she is sitting in your living room with you and can relate to everything you're going through. She offers so much grace and perspective that is frequently lacking as a mom of littles. This book is everything I didn't know I needed and has been so encouraging! Becky shows every aspect of motherhood, the good, the bad, and the ugly, and emphasizes that regardless of your situation, nothing is bigger than our God. If we cling to Him, and build a community, all the hard is so doable. Becky is incredible and has written a book that everyone needs to read!

I seriously can not say enough good things about this book!! Becky gets it, all the joys and struggles through motherhood; she has been there, too!! With chapter titles such as, "I just want one real friend" to "When the people you love the most bring out your worst", Becky touches on different aspects of motherhood that we are all thinking/feeling. She reminds us that we all deserve a cape, and that we are utterly and completely loved. Every mom needs to read this book!! :)

I'm over halfway through this book, but I already believe this book speaks encouragement to my mom heart. Becky comes alongside you speaking words of reassurance that we are the moms God has meant for us to be and those are definitely words that need to be heard especially when we are in the trenches. She also speaks as a coach encouraging is to continue to grow as mothers and know we don't have to do this whole motherhood thing alone. I highly recommend this book to all mothers, no matter what season they are in or no matter how old their kids are.

As a single parent who often feels like I’m not equally matched with one of my children, I’m finding so much encouragement in this book. Becky writes directly to those insecure places in our hearts and gives us biblical wisdom and practical advice to forge forward with confidence in our parenting.

I am on Chapter three of this book right now and so far every chapter has hugged my mommy heart in some way. I am also fortunate enough to be on the launch team and am getting to know Becky as a person as well as an author. She is such a fun friend and sweet mother, and I have had fun seeing how her life experiences coincide with her words in the book. She has such a sweet way of encouraging authenticity in mothering - no matter what that looks like. If you want a safe space to talk about the realities of motherhood, get a copy of Becky's book! I only gave it 4 stars because I haven't completed it yet. =)

This book is amazing. It is full of practical advice for the everyday mom. Highly recommend for whatever stage of motherhood you are in. If you are a mom - you need this book. Becky has a way of writing that makes you feel like you are sitting down over a cup of tea/coffee and chatting like old friends. Tons of relatable experiences and examples that show you who she is as a person and how God has shown her and now helped her show others that there is no better mom than you for your kids.

Most moms readily admit parenting is the best and the hardest job. Taking care of these human beings God has entrusted to us is such a big responsibility and one we don’t want to mess up. Some days we feel inadequate, unsure, and left wondering if we have what it takes. Becky puts a voice to this inner and outer dialogue we have as mothers. Her book equips us to parent with confidence even on the days when we don’t feel cut out for it. She reveals through her relatable style that God has matched us with our children on purpose. Reading this book leads us to believe there really is no better mom for the job.

I thought No Better Mom for the Job by Becky Keife would be a book for moms of littles. And it is but it so SO. MUCH. MORE. I was reminded repeatedly that God holds it all and he is truly in control. This quote has stuck with me and it is printed and, on my wall, “Your overwhelm is an opportunity to experience God’s power. Your not-enough is an invitation to receive His more-than-enough.” I believe this book is a must-read for anyone who needs to be reminded of the opportunities we have to receive “His more-than-enough.”

One of my favorite things about this book is the relatable way in which the author describes motherhood. She hits the nail on the head over and over, describing the daily experiences that make up the beautiful mess that is motherhood, particularly mothering little ones. It truly is as if she is reaching through the pages to put her arm around our often sagging shoulders to encourage us that there is no better mom for the job - not because we are wonderful or because we handle life in the thick of it perfectly in every parenting interaction, but because God has given us our specific children "on purpose for a purpose" and HE will equip us to fulfill that purpose. Every mom of young ones needs to be gifted this book (and the time to read it and/or listen to it!)

As a mom who sometimes feels defeated, and worn-down, this book is so uplifting and encouraging! It makes me feel like I'm not alone on this journey and that I actually AM worthy to be my babies' mommy. Thank you for this amazing, wonderfully written piece of mom-gold!!

Grab your favorite beverage, find a comfy spot, and prepare to meet yourself in the pages of this book. Becky opens her heart to us, sharing both her successes and her failures in a brutally honest way. Along the way, she provides an insight into those ways in which she has changed her parenting in order to parent in confidence. I have laughed, cried, and nodded along as I have read this book, which really feels more like a chat over whatever snack and drink a couple of moms have managed to cobble together in the rushing river of motherhood.

Although I am only a few chapters in, this book is a book every mom needs. Every parent has doubted their parenting decisions and this book emphasizes that there is no one more fit to do your parenting than you! Children do not come with a manual and this book is a reminder that God created you to do the most rewarding job of all- be the confident mom for your children and yourself. I love the pages with quotes and inspirations. It's a very easy read!

The entire time I read this book, I kept feeling like I was sitting down with a good friend discussing the challenging and joyful moments (and everything in between those two extremes) of motherhood. Becky Keife writes in such a way that makes you feel like you are amongst a friend who gets it. She shares ways she was able to shift from the mundane of motherhood to the joy and God designed purpose for motherhood. I love how each chapter ends with an action to take as well as a prayer. Keife reminds us that God chose us to be the mom to the unique children the He has blessed us with and that there is "no better mom for the job."

INSPIRING. PRACTICAL. MOTIVATIONAL. The words that come to mind when reading "No Better Mom for the Job" by Becky Keife. As a "seasoned" Mom of four, ages 12-22, I thought this book might be more for new Moms. What I found out was - it isn't just for young mothers but for all of us who have been called to be a Mother to precious children. This book is also SO MUCH MORE!! This book is about YOU and you will not want to put it down.
