Nora Francis has been on the run from her demented ex-boyfriend for almost two years. Then her luck begins to change when she accepts a nanny position in Northern Michigan that offers her a chance to hide out. Too bad her new employer has her heart feeling anything but safe.

Nora just met the man of her dreams, but can she allow him to become part of her nightmare? No Longer Alone is a heart-wrenching romantic suspense story that follows one woman’s fear, and one man’s need to protect.

I didn't feel this book lived up to it's promise. There were parts that were really good, such as the interaction with Oscar and the final scene with Tim but I didn't believe the relationship between Nora and Erik. Nora has been on the run from her ex for two years and yet when she meets Erik (and like Tim) he says she is dressing inappropriately, she stays in his house and 24 hours later is having sex with him. She is supposedly 'a shell of a person who had been mentally abused, stalked and tormented'; she suffers from nightmares and panic attacks and yet flirts and has sex with strangers? There was a lot about this story that didn't make sense to me (not helped by a continuity error) and I felt disappointed as it could have been so much better. I received a complimentary copy of this book from eBook Discovery. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

Nora Francis was a school teacher on the run from her possessive ex-boyfriend (Tim), who was bipolar and stalked her continuously. She felt threatened and left her home driving to Michigan to accept a position as a nanny for four year old Oscar. Erik was a well-known professional football player, now out due to knee injuries. He's also is the uncle of Oscar, who mother died in a car accident. Erik was in need of help and seeking a housekeeper and nanny for his nephew. The story was well written with two lost heart wanting more than what life had dealt them. It was filled with secrets, insta-lust and a HEA. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review."
