"No Reason for Insanity by Kevin E. Hatt is a gripping tale of love, crime, and a man's unswerving pursuit for the truth and justice. Hatt has the gift of transforming ordinary characters into compelling heroes who immediately win the admiration and sympathy of readers. Haszard will be loved by fans of mystery and crime fiction for the way he allows his curiosity to steer him towards growth. The plot is littered with surprises and it moves fairly fast. The prose is beautiful and it leaps off the pages with ease. The tension starts from the very first page of the novel and builds up so fast that it will make readers feel the grip will loosen up soon, but which never happens. You'll read this one to the end before you remember you started reading it at all."

Having never read the previous Haszard narrative, I didn't know what to expect. The characters were likable, the suspense and mystery also kept me reading. I did find the number of characters a little overwhelming and a little difficult keeping track of who was who and their connections to Has at times. The amount of partying going on amidst the murders was a bit strange also. I gave 4 stars because all in all it was a good murder mystery.

Most mysteries keep us safe from getting drawn in by giving unrealistic characters and dialogue, the author manages to avoids this by filling this tale with characters who oil beyond neighbors and a crime that is all too possible. The book will suck you in quickly and have you checking your doors are locked at night.

I just finished reading this book. I honestly did not know that it was part of a series until after I was part way through.
Here's what's great about this book. You can start on this book and read it through, and it's a pretty good stand alone novel. If you have read the rest of the series, you probably come into it having a pretty good introduction to the characters, their background, their relationships, and their depth. If you didn't, you still get those things in this novel. I don't feel like I needed to get the background story to really enjoy it. That surprised me greatly. There are mentions of previous adventures, but they are not to an extent that you feel lost. I was really impressed by this while reading.
The story is a very good mystery and somewhat of a thriller in parts. You can empathize and sympathize with the characters and feel the relationship between them. They are all from different back grounds, but all work together in a very positive way. You can even feel that the way the interact and care about each other is genuine and it sucks you in. I honestly read this novel on a 3 day trip and had trouble putting it down. I wanted to know more of the story.
I'm not going to give a lot of details, but, I am going to recommend that this is a very good read and i'm sure that you are going to enjoy it, so give it a try.
No Reason for Insanity is an intriguing crime mystery by author Kevin, E. Hatt. This is the first book I've read in this sixth book series, but I'm going back now to read the other 5 books. I would highly recommend this novel.

No Reason For Insanity by Kevin E. Hatt was one of the most intriguing and delightful mysteries I've had come into my hands. All in all, No Reason for Insanity was definitely a well-balanced meal of thrills, chills, fun, and heartbreak and I would be more than happy to take on any sequel that might come.
