This is such an amazingly heart warming story. Leslie is a beautiful women who goes through a devastating loss. She made a decision a while ago to live her life with no regrets. She meets Josh and he is struggling with some things in his life and they meet and the chemistry between them is off the charts hot. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

I read this book last night. I struggled in the beginning because of the loss of Polly. It broke my heart. This story is as real as it gets. No fluff or wonderful romance. It is real with all the struggles that a real couple face. It has tragedy that comes with life. There were a few places in the story that I struggled with because they are too real and too tough to talk about, like animal cruelty, Josh's stay in a tough part of the world and the things he saw there. I don't normally like a book that makes me cry but this one I just couldn't put down. I try to live my life with no regrets but I find that no matter how hard I try I still have guilty feelings and I still have things I regret. I loved that it IS real and not just another romance.

This was my first book by this author but certainly won't be my last! I won't talk specifics because I don't want to give away too much, but this book drew me in emotionally from page one. As each chapter ended I just kept wanting to read on! The characters are so well developed you feel you really know them. I can't wait to read more from this author.

My Thoughts: As always, Claire Kent's stories pack a punch and they dive right into everything in the first few chapters. Who needs build-up? Not me! Not with this story. It starts off strong and then builds up even MORE as the story goes on. Leslie is someone I feel I have a bond with, being determined to make changes, living with no regrets. Throw in Josh, this guy you can't help but be drawn to. You know there's something below the surface with him, and even on the surface he's amazing. Put these two together and you have something combustible... and that can be in the good way and the bad way. But like any great romance, there's a lot more to the story. No Regrets is a brilliantly told story. I loved how the characters were in their mid-late 30s--it added a little more to the plot for me, more depth, more understanding. Claire Kent never ceases to amaze or weave intricate romances that go further than initial attraction, and the stories so realistic in every way. As always... gonna keep picking up her work! My Rating: Very Good

The story was ok, the sex was way more descriptive then it needed to be.

Claire Kent’s “No Regrets” is a quick and sexy read. I especially recommend it if you’re a dog lover. Leslie, the leading lady, is so very real that I’ve actually lived through most of the situations in this book. Dr. Josh Bennett, the leading man/sexy veterinarian, is a broken bit of candy just waiting to be sucked…I mean fixed. There is a ton of hot, well-described sex in this book – just past the line of vanilla, but not into the dark erotica genre. A very nice, standalone novel. I am going to check out what else Claire Kent has written right now! One small thing – I kept wondering what Leslie’s “Eh” noises during sex sound like – maybe “Eh” is sexier than I think, ‘cause she was definitely “Eh”ing at some hawt times!

No Regrets Deciding to live without regrets and without commitment are the choices made by the 2 main characters Leslie and Josh in Claire Kent’s new book, No Regrets. Can these 2 ideologies mesh? More importantly do they want to? Turns out that yes they can and in the process they discover that what you want is not necessarily what you need. Leslie and Josh come to this conclusion in a very entertaining and enlightening novel. The story line gripped me from the start (I have to admit that I am a dog lover so this was an easy hook for me) and unfolds at a good pace and in a believable manner. I liked that the characters were older than the normal twenty something that is so prevalent these days in books and I found them to be very realistic. A life changing event is the catalyst that puts into question the nature of their relationship and the conclusion that they come to is very satisfying. My only issue with the book would be Leslie’s timing in changing the status of the relationship. While I understand why it needed to be done I think that there could have been a more opportune moment, however perhaps this particular timing was what was needed to move the story along. Overall I truly enjoyed the book and would give it a high rating, the sex scenes are hot but there is also vulnerability and deep levels of trust (especially during one particular scene). If you like a story that is not obvious and predictable then this book is for you.

No Regrets, Claire Kent Review from jeannie zelos book reviews I was so excited to see this, I loved, and have re read Claire's “Escorted” a couple of times now, and was hoping for another sexy romance. Well, its a good book but for me it doesn't have quite the drama and emotion of “Escorted”. Leslie, ah she was a good woman, hardworking and solid, loves her friends but her love life is sadly lacking....then on taking her elderly spaniel to the vet she meets Josh, the new vet. He's hot and later when she's in the park, still upset over Polly's necessary but sad end, Josh finds her while he's out running...and they end up having some hot and heavy sex... She thinks it's a one off, but a few days later out with friends one night they bump into him again, and she ends up back with him, after a quickie in the ladies!! Josh though make sit very clear he doesn't want romance, doesn't do attachments, and though she'd love all of that her vows this year were to go for it – attack life with no regrets, so they embark on a really sexy, sensual Friends with Benefits affair having some erotic heated moments, doing things Leslie never thought she would. Then that time comes, when things go wrong, stuff is said that can't be taken back, and I really felt for poor Leslie here. They part on good terms, but she's so sad, and is full of doubt whether that was the right action to take. She did the right thing though in my opinion...she'd be cheating herself if she carried on. Josh has solid reasons for his no commitements stance, and she can't see them changing even though she understands why, and doesn't think he'll be happy that way. Can they find a way back though? Well, its beautifully written and full of hot and erotic sex, allied with some gentle and subtle moments. I didn't get to wallow enough over the breakup though, and I need that ….need that sense of deep loss, that makes redemtion and comeback so much sweeter. Stars: Four, loved the story but needed a bit more on the sad side for a five star read. ARC supplied via Netgalley

Leslie and Josh meet under less than auspicious circumstances, when he turns out to be the new vet at the clinic where she brings her dog who has been sick with cancer to be put down. When they meet again later that day, they embark on a no-strings attached sex only affair, a chance for some emotional release for both of them with clear expectations on both of their parts as to what they are bringing to the table. As time goes on, their bond becomes more than physical. But Josh struggles to open himself up emotionally and it's not enough for Leslie. Can they find their way to a happy ending? Claire Kent can always be counted on to bring messy, emotional overtones to her highly erotic stories. In this case, you have the tragedy to start with (Leslie losing her dog) and Josh's personal experiences as an aid worker in Africa that led to him completely shutting himself off from getting emotionally attached to anyway, including closing the door to his family and friends. Their affair is a way to express their grief in a purely physical way without the complications of intimate conversations - at least at first. The sex scenes are visceral and ring with truth. There is a particular 'ahem' "back door" scene that is probably the most realistic I've ever read in terms of dealing with the physical and emotional complications of this kind of sex. While there are lots of steamy encounters between them, the style varies from a more role-play oriented form to the reality later on of two people who are sharing their true selves with each other. I loved the way the story played out and how Josh eventually realized that if he wanted to keep Leslie in his life, he'd have to open up to her. Definitely worth the read. 4 stars.

3.5 tail wagging stars... No Regrets is an emotional, heartwarming, tail-wagging treat. I must warn you that you will need tissues...Um...for multiple reasons. The chemistry between Josh & Leslie is immediate and I didn't question Leslie's decision to enjoy the sexy veterinarian with "No Regrets" and "No Strings". Actually, I quite enjoyed him myself *wink wink*. However; as we've all discovered in life, what our head decides and what our heart decides is not always the same, right? The sexy veterinarian has his reasons for keeping his heart closed and refusing to have a relationship. Can Leslie be happy with only the parts of himself he's willing to share? Is it enough?
