An Interview with Michael Hoeye on No Time Like Show Time
You introduce several new characters who work at Varmint Variety Theater in Pinchester. Who is your favorite?
MH: Characters are like children. It's difficult to have a favorite. And it can cause problems to announce who the favorite is...particularly among the others. But, if I had to say, and I suppose I do, and if you promise not to tell Fluster Varmint or Corpius Crouce that I said this, I think my favorite new character was Termind the Parrot. I mean is. I get confused sometimes.
Will we see them again in another adventure?
MH: For Termind, unfortunately, the chances are not good.
Now that Hermux has purchased a Port-a-Pet for Terfle, will she be helping Hermux solve more mysteries?
MH: Please don't mention this to Hermux yet, but Terfle has big plans. She liked the detective business a lot. But she liked theater even more. She is working on a little act herself right now. And if we can get the technical difficulties solved with the microphone and amplifier, who knows? She's got a dream. I found a travel brochure for Las Vegas in her cage last night.
Why do the fabulously wealthy Tucka Mertslin and the modest watchmaker Hermux live in the same apartment building?
MH: Have you ever heard of Rent Control? Hermux's family has been in the building for three generations. If Tucka knew just how little he was paying for his apartment, she wouldn't hesitate to take out a contract on his insignificant little life. In fact, she might do that anyway, just to upgrade the neighborhood.
You visit classrooms and bookstores nationwide. What is the most popular question people ask you?
MH: "Are Hermux and Linka going to get married?"
What's the most unusual question you were asked by a child?
MH: "Can you swim?"
Now that Hermux has a bustling side-career as a detective, will he ever find time to fix all the watches at his shop?
MH: I assure you that there will be no lapses in service. And Hermux will not be outsourcing his repairs!

i loved this book. i've read it so many times i can't even remember how many times i've read it! the chapters are short, and the book is exciting, so while it keeps you going, it still gives you somewhere to stop.
I've read all 3 Hermux Tantamoq adventures now, and loved every word of every book. The characters are interesting and orginal, the plot is mysterious with something for everyone, and the writing paints a picture in your head. I can't wait till the next book comes out!
This book is the best, as well as Time Stops for No Mouse & The Sands of Time. Michael Hoeye is an incredible author, ofcourse my favorite. This book left me wanting more out of the series. I could never put the book down, it left you with a feeling of needing to know what happened next. You weren't satisfied until you finished the book and ofcourse you enjoyed it. That's exactly how this book, and all of the previous ones, made me feel. I'm hoping for book four of the Hermux Tantamoq series soon. I feel in order to really get the feel of this book though, you have to read the previous two. Many parts will be more understandable because it includes small details that have to do with the other two books. If you like mystery with a whole bunch of twists and turns, this book and the previous ones are an absolute must read. Without a doubt, I'll read every other book that comes out. It's so great, you just have to read it. Reading it over is just the same amount of fun. And Hoeye's use of words and descriptions lets you see everything right in front of your eyes. Leading you to want more of the series, just like I do!
THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ. It's about a mouse watchmaker who goes on alot of adventures and to see which one he goes on in this book you will have to get a copy, sit down and read it. This in the 3rd book in the series you have to read the first 2 to get the feeling of this book. I REALLY hope you will love this book as much as I did.. Send in a review when you finish the book to see if you and other people have the same thoughts about this book.
