I was very impressed. The book reminded me some of the Baldacci and Grisham I have read, but with a sexy twist. I loved the pace and story line. The characters were fabulous. Mmmm Kade and Blane, two gorgeous men who both want Kathleen. And Kathleen is a great heroine. Strong and smart, but very human. I was thrilled to see this is the first in a series and I can't wait to see what the author has in store!

Kathleen Turner is horrible. She makes terrible decisions, has not street smarts, not educated and seems to suffer from an average to low IQ. The love triangle is spent. Can the author please move on. Also, Tiffany Snow should consider taking some advanced college english courses when you consider all her grammar errors, awkard and simple sentences, I would guess she is much like Kathleen. I was sorry I bothered reading. Seriously, I cannot understand the glowing reviews.

I thoroughly enjoyed Tiffany Snow's first book! It was a good read. I found myself easily captivated by the plot, and read it quickly. The characters were good, the plot had some really well done twists that I didn't see coming. There is a nice balance of romance and mystery that keeps the reader going. I look forward to seeing what will come next!

Posted on Romancing the Book's blogReviewed by UrsulaReview Copy Provided by the AuthorI¿m glad I didn¿t know that this was written in first person before I started reading it, otherwise I might never had read this entertaining, well-written and witty book! I usually stay far away from first person, but I think I¿ll be watching for more from the Kathleen Turner series! Kathleen is an undervalued, underpaid and overworked 23 year old. She works a full time job at a lawyer¿s office as a runner then supplements her income bartending at night. The story opens with humor right away, with Kathleen tripping and landing face first into her boss¿s lap, during a meeting! She successfully avoids him for quite some time after that, that is, until her neighbor across the hall is murdered and Kathleen is the unlucky one to find the body. The story is a constant thrill ride¿when you aren¿t laughing that is! Kathleen¿s boss is an ultra handsome, golden boy that takes her on as a client when Kathleen finds the body of her neighbor, and things never are the same. With lawyers, goons, politics, technology, murder, intrigue and strong physical attractions, No Turning Back is hard to put down. There are twist and turns and Kathleen isn¿t sure who to trust, including her handsome boss Blane! I had a little trouble with the fact that Kathleen sees herself as nothing special, and the story seems to go along with that fact, but suddenly, after two years of not even having a date, she has the attention of her boss, the son of another of the partners in the law firm, a very handsome and mysterious man named Kade, not too mention a couple of others. Even the male bartender she works with doesn¿t seem to notice her until she dresses as Brittany Spears for Halloween¿so, either she is beautiful or she isn¿t. She has a couple of `escorts¿ trying to talk her into the business because men will go crazy for her. So, is she beautiful or just built? I don¿t think the story flows well with the respect to Kathleen¿s appearance; the inconsistency is too much to overlook. One other thing that doesn¿t seem to be answered is about Kathleen¿s new neighbor. What her exact role in the story was is perplexing. Was it by chance she moved in or was it planned? All of that being said, this book is well worth the time to read it! The `issues¿ I had with this book are miniscule compared to the entertainment value of the story!

It'll keep you guessing, and it'll have you falling in love with more than one character and demanding more, more, more! One of the most important things to me in any story is dialogue, and the dialogue in this book is fun, natural, and fluid. Each character has a recognizable voice and a distinct personality, and the narrator, Kathleen, is engaging and lovable. The action scenes are very well-written, and you can see them playing out in your head. The plot is tight and not at all predictable. Last but certainly not least, the romance is yummy. I'm declaring myself Team Kade and waiting eagerly for the next book!

No Turning Back by Tiffany Snow First in the Kathleen Turner series. Female ingénue turned amateur detective when a friend dies. Complications arise that involve the place she works and her boss who turns into a potential love interest. Kathleen is very naïve trusting everyone from a potential boyfriend to a new neighbor, but I supposed that’s because she is relatively young (early twenties). The suspense and twists in the story make for entertaining reading. And the sexual chemistry between multiple characters makes for interesting questions on where it all may lead in the future. Good ending in that it’s not a cliff-hanger but you can tell this has the potential to become more. I will read then next book to see where the characters go next and how the relationship(s) develop.

Great Romantic Suspense! Plenty of wonderful action to keep you on your toes. This is the first book in the series and it does a nice job of setting up the main characters. Kathleen Turner really quirky and fun to read. The whole book is from her POV, which makes all the relationships really one sided. I generally like to know what the guy is thinking as well. Kathleen is like a younger less hardened Stephanie Plum. She falls into trouble, definitely has a knack for being in the wrong place at the right time. While not wholly street savvy, she did have a cop for a father, which puts her ahead of most gals in the self defense department. Although, I did get annoyed at her TSTL moves, there is a big difference between independent woman and murder bait! Blane is yummy and over-protective at times, then there is the dark and delicious Kade, how is a girl to choose? Sadly this is mainstream, which makes a wicked menage very unlikely. I am spoiled by my erotic romances, they don't make me choose! Either guy is great on his own but together they would be epic! The steam factor is very yummy. You get a few smexy scenes but not as detailed as an erotic. Still yummy and temperature altering!!  The suspense portion of the story was terrific, exciting and engaging throughout. Lots going on, many nefarious players in action. There did seem to be a touch more exposition going on at times, which caused the book to lag every now and again. In the end, it was a very enjoyable read and I am eager to see what is in store for the series.

I couldn't put this book down! It will keep you guessing until the end. Protagonist Kathleen is extremely likeable and Blane is sizzling. I will be team Blane as the characters are developed as the series continues. Can't wait for second book!

From the stars of the show to the supporting cast, all of the characters in No Turning Back have something unique that brings them to life. Combined with quality writing and the perfect balance of romance, mystery and action, this book is a new favorite. Kathleen is an 'average' woman with no super-skills for sleuthing, but she keeps her wits about her when she finds herself in the middle of a mystery. In fact it's her 'average' quality that makes her relatable and believable. The first person narration from Kathleen's perspective keeps the reader guessing right along side the heroine, questioning loyalties and motivations. It's nice to find an author who's able to keep the reader confused and surprised instead of wanting to throttle the heroine for being clueless. Although I wouldn't class her style as comedic, Kathleen delivers some witty one-liners. Blane is a charming hero whose devotion to Kathleen surprises them both, considering his play-boy reputation. The sexual tension between these two is sizzling and emotions are explored in a realistic way. Kade is the man of mystery who takes a background role until late in the game, but has the potential to be a contender for Kathleen's affections. The romance angle has satisfying closure, and yet the possibility of a future love triangle between these equally amazing men leaves the reader begging for the next book in what promises to be an exciting new series. This debut novel is a fabulous start to a promising career for Tiffany Snow.

Source: Complimentary copy provided by author, via Romancing the Book, for an honest and unbiased review The storyline, I love love love. There's nothing more accurate I can say about it. The circumstances under which Kathleen is presented are believable, easily followable, and in the end, all fall into place faultlessly. This book is the perfect composition of enthralling suspense, scorching romance, and witty, warm, perfectly-played-out moments. As for her posing as a prostitute, I thought it would be a large part of the book based off the blurb, but it's actually just one scene. Nonetheless, it's an entertaining (because of her ironic predicament!), indulgent, and significant scene I adored. Tiffany Snow has a way with words; she's amazing at creating situations that range from intense and critical, to blithe and comical. More importantly, her polished, contemporary style make No Turning Back an easy read, not only because of its unchallenging material, but also because the story just progresses effortlessly. I was not fond of how Kathleen seems to be some sort of temptress, even though she swears to being, and comes off as, the cute and clumsy type. I mean, she is attractive, and has a great personality, but she's clearly not used to being so desired. Guys can't keep their hands off her — five different male characters (three of which are leading characters) either make passes at her or are infatuated with her, which isn't only grossly unrealistic, but also unconvincing, considering she's the type of girl who never whores herself out, and has only been with one other boy before — and that was in high school. I rolled my eyes at times. While the love triangle is steamy, the other guys hitting on her suddenly are too much. I also was a bit unsettled by the constant betrayal by and Kathleen's fickleness towards Blane. One moment I wanted him and Kathleen to be together, the next, I wanted him out of the picture. He continuously disappoints, sporadically revealing shocking tidbits of his involvement in the life-threatening scheme. Kathleen seems to recognize this. She's a smart, level-headed girl: she knows Blane is trouble, and that he's keeping his own secrets. But then he touches her arm or something and she melts and reconsiders her feelings about him...? — this happens more than a few times throughout the book, and it is not only confusing, but also slightly irritating. However, the conclusion is satisfying — a good ending to a good book — so I can't complain too much. The very last line leaves me hanging, even though full closure is provided; I'm now eager to try the sequel, Turn to Me! Okay it's 3am woohoooo but I'm not even tired. Just writing about No Turning Back is invigorating. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who would like a fast-paced, amusing romance that also contains heavier, disturbing facets (such as an attempted rape scene, gruesome murder descriptions, and frightening instances of combat). This, to put it in the best of words, is a law/crime thriller for the ladies: we've got hot heroes and wardrobe malfunctions, gunshots and very very unwelcome hunger pangs, break-ins and breakups... oh yeah. If suspense and chick-lit are your genres, this is the book for you. Rating: 9 hearts- One of my all-time favorites!

I enjoyed this book and it's sister book, Turn to Me. I am anxious to see if there is a third book. It made me laugh, almost cry, and kept me very interested in what was going to happen.

I really enjoyed parts of this book. You pretty much could figure out the bad guys early on, but you weren't exactly sure which side Blaine was on until it was revealed. There were a lot of LOL moments, and some moments that made you ::sigh:: and plenty of moments where you are shouting at the book, and wondering where this was going now. I have to admit, I hope this isn't the last we see of CJ, she broke my heart, and I would love to see some redemption for her. Now, for some of my dislikes, I really don't like the triangle with Blaine's brother. It seemed like it wasn't a conflict that was needed with everything else going on. I also didn't care for her using her body so much to get what she wanted. In the beginning it was mentioned that she has aspirations of being a lawyer, but she really acted ditzy at times. I don't know that book #2 is in my future, as I am not really in to the love triangle thing, but I did enjoy this first one.
