"The best way to protect our children is to not only teach them about the wonders of this world but to prepare them for the dangers that exist within it and how they can deal with or avoid them when we are not by their side." Edward J. McCrane -Emergency Management Chief, Sarasota County, FL

In 1994, Patricia Abrams and her husband, Joe, founded a search team called, Sarasota K-9 Search and Rescue Team, Inc. in Sarasota, Florida. This team was built on the premise of finding the lost, educating the community on safety, and working professionally side by side with all agencies to provide a successful outcome to all missions. The team has earned the respect and accountability from the state of Florida with many award accommodations. This book is written for the heroes of the team, the search dogs themselves. For without their courage and determination to serve humanity, people will not understand the bond between human and canine and what miracles will be produced to make a difference in the lives of families. This book is dedicated to our community's children so they can appreciate and learn the service that these search dogs provide.

I purchased this book for my son. He really enjoys it, because he loves dogs. He loves reading about Noah, the search dog, and his adventures. The book portrays a great message as well. I think the more that he reads it, the more that the message will sink in. I highly recommend this to all parents of young children, who want their children to not only be entertained by their book, but to learn important life lessons.

Wonderful story for all ages. If you are a parent or a teacher & love dogs this book is excellent to read to the children. It has a message and story from the dogs point of view. Nothing was more in the minds of americans than "911" & everyone love the stories of the search dogs. This is another way to see, from the dogs mind, just how they feel about searching & life. Excellently written for all.

Noah and the Search Dogs had us at the photo on the front cover! This is a real story about everyday people and their dogs that give so much to the community....and most of us don't even know about them. They give their time, resources and love for strangers in the event their skills are needed. The book teaches many 'life lessons' that we try to teach our children, but through the eyes & ears of Noah. Thank you for sharing Noah and his story with all of us! P.S. Noah's puppy pictures are our favorite part!
