1) 5 Stars: Good Morning, Ms. Author Tease! Your first nine chapters had my brain going one way and then you filled your pages with twists and turns!!! Oh my! I was actually tired when I finished your story. I was emotionally spent. Kudos for taking me on a wonderful journey with Rachel, JT and Lori!!! I hope you have much success with this book. I’m a fan for sure. - Kathy Azzolina
2) 5 Stars: A Mother's Love - This was a very compelling story. I enjoyed this book! It captivated me when I didn't think it would. I got caught up in the drama between James and Rachel. This couple wanted a child so desperately Rachel would do anything and they did. But it nearly ruins their marriage. James starts to work more than he should, while Rachel starts working and taking care of her sister and friends. Neither one knowing what to do to gain their relationship back. Suddenly a woman named Lori/Lauren comes into their life and changes it forever. This is a must read! Full of anticipation and intense drama.
3) 5 Stars: This was a sweet and wonderful story of a much in love couple, Rachel and James, who have struggled for years with infertility. So many things contribute to a new struggle for them that threatens their marriage - secrets, misunderstandings, fear - it all makes for deep trouble within their once strong marriage. True dedication to their marriage vows plus a miraculous meeting make for a truly wonderful ending for this couple's trials. I loved this book. The story was a sweet one and the book was well written and well edited.
4) 4 Stasr: Don't let the first few chapters fool you like I did. I was sure I had the story all figured out after reading chapters one through nine. Boy was I fooled. I don't want to give anything away but I'll just say temptation reigns throughout this book. It all comes down to choices made. Choices to keep secrets, choices to stray and betray, choices to rebuild or let go .... what they choose will determine their fate, determine their future and very likely change their course.
I wanted to see the overbearing mother-in-law get a little comeuppance. She was insensitive and arrogant. I wanted to see the 'other' woman have to see the wrong she set out to do for her personal pleasure and personal gain. Yes, eventually she made an about face, but I never saw her seeing or feeling any guilt by trying to 'steal' a married man... her boss.
Barreness and low sperm count contribute to a lot of insecurities between the main characters. Childless after seven years, Rachel and Jt's marriage suffers. They each respond differently. I was proud of how Rachel spurned temptation from her ex. However, not so proud of JT. He put himself in the position to be tempted by a power-hungry, albeigt lonely and angry employee. They say the eyes are the window to the soul. JT's eyes kept roving and roaming until he finally was forced to make a decision, a choice.
I actually like Brandon, Rachel's ex. I felt badly for him. He never seemed to know or realize why Rachel left him and Rachel was not very good at explaining. In fact, through the whole book, she wasn't facing up to realities. She puts her marriage on the line by obsessing on her inability to conceive. Brandon seemed to truly care for Rachel. He only had eyes for her whereas JT's eyes were another story. I'd love to have seen more of Brandon's role and development in the story. It seemed that 'he was, and then he wasn't'. What I saw of him, he seemed sincere and caring and knew exactly what he wanted... or should I say who he wanted. However, he wasn't sneaky about it and he respected Rachel's wishes and boundaries.
