NOFX: The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories is the first tell-all autobiography from one of the world’s most influential and controversial punk bands. Alongside hilarious anecdotes about pranks and drunkenness and teenage failuresfeaturing the trademark NOFX sense of humorthe book also shares the ugliness and horror the band members experienced on the road to becoming DIY millionaires. Fans and non-fans alike will be shocked by stories of murder, suicide, addiction, counterfeiting, riots, bondage, terminal illness, the Yakuza, and pee … lots and lots of pee. Told by each of the band members (and two former members), NOFX looks back at more than thirty years of comedy, tragedy, and completely inexplicable success.

This books is unexpectedly incredible. It's not only the best band bio I've ever read, I would argue you don't even need to know who NOFX is to read it in all in one sitting and leave completely satisfied. It's completely engrossing from page one. Maybe from sentence one. The stories in this book will show you a world you've never seen before. Follow the lives of these guys and see the highs and lows of pushing boundaries and living carelessly. Often times Humorous, but very equally dark, this book serves more as a confession than a memoir, with inner dialog that is so personal and raw it will stay with you for days. The brutal honesty and openness with which such dark topics are addressed is alarming - but undeniably intriguing. If you're looking for something different, and are able to handle topics not for the faint of heart (including drugs, S&M, murder, rape, assisted suicide, I'm sure I'm leaving something else out..) you should definitely invest in this one. There are more lighthearted moments, and there is definitely redemption for some of the characters - but the road to get there is the most captivating thing I've ever read. You will laugh, you will definitely cry, you will be disgusted.. it will break your heart. And it will be beautiful.
