North Pole, South Pole based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
Several years ago my wife Karen purchased this short reader for our younger son Jeremy, then in second grade, because of its obvious scientific basis. After talking about earth's polar regions in general and explaining why they are so cold, the author then discusses life at the North Pole and finally what it is like at the South Pole. Since it is easy for children (and others as well) to confuse the two and think of polar bears in the Antarctic and penguins in the Arctic, this book can be very useful for understanding the distinctions. I saw nothing objectionable in it.
