Not Your Mother's Book . . . On Being a Stupid Kid

Not Your Mother's Book . . . On Being a Stupid Kid

The title of this anthology says it all. Being a stupid kid. Period. There's nothing worse than getting caught with your hand in the proverbial cookie jar, yet alone confessing to all those stupid things you did when you were a kid and lived to tell about. Yes, you know where the bodies are buried.

Inside, you'll read stories about crazy capers, double-dog dares and outlandish adventures-those youthful escapades you never shared with your parents! Whether it was driving on thin ice (literally), getting your younger brother to jump off a roof, hitchhiking to see the Beatles, throwing tomatoes at cops or nearly blowing up your house, we all did stupid kid things and survived. Thus the reason to hide this book from your youngsters and especially your teenagers . . . you might give them ideas!

Nearly 60 authors have shared their stories, and many have provided old photos that we have included at the end of their stories. Join us for a laugh-filled trip down Memory Lane.

Funny, funny book! You will identify with some of these stories, although you may not want to write about it. Childhood came roaring back as I read the many creative stories, from extremely talented writers. You won't want to put this one down!

I laughed till I leaked. Driving on ice? check. Wrecking socks? check. Climbing on the roof? oh yes! I usually like to read a good short story before going to sleep at night. But this book kept me wanting to read the next story. I would NEVER admit to most of these things! Some people really have GUTS!

Hey we've all done stupid things...and this book shares some of the funniest ones. It's amazing humans make it to adulthood. A great collection by very talented writers. But with material like this how could they go wrong. You might not want your kid's to read this, it might give them bad

You might not want to admit you were a stupid kid, but the writers in this anthology did! You will howl with laughter when you find out some ot the crazy things they did. I'll bet they don't want their kids to know half these things! What a fun book to read. If you are looking for a good laugh, this is it.
