I swear this series is like a bouncy ball, while one book sucks, another book is okay but then the one after sucks again...sighs...I don't even know what to think anymore. This book was okay, I was a bit disgusted with Lilly's character in the beginning, coming on to Court as strongly as she did even knowing that he was drunk as a skunk and knew that nothing was going to come out of the sex but still having the audacity to be hurt by his supposed rejection afterwards? That makes no f*cking sense to me, you knew he was drunk, knew he was a man slut, knew he was going to feel guilt because of his friendship with your brother but that didn't stop your horny ass, did it? So why feel all hurt and rejected when you knew what was going to happen, I'll tell you why, because she was a stupid 18 year old virgin with a stupid ass fairytale fantasy in her head. I preferred her character when she got older, she was more mature and actually thought like an adult. It was sad to see what happens to her on that road. So people, don't hate on Court for acting like the drunken ass he was when he popped Lilly's cherry, because it took two to tangle and she was the one who pushed it, she was stone cold sober, he was just an ass who could have stopped but didn't, they were both to blame. It's sad that it had to take an abominable situation for him to come to his senses and claim Lilly like he should have done so since the beginning! Plus we actually get to read about Court fully shifting in this book, whereas in the last two books...no shifting...just partials..that was truly disappointing. BTW...I am loving The Brothers of Menace MC...they are kind of fabulous!
