Teen author Justin M. Anderson has created a strong and lively plot and demonstrates a keen ear for dialogue. Once I started reading "Nothing But Trouble" I had to keep reading until I finished. He kept me guessing about what was going to happen and I just had to find out! I especially liked the narrator's curmudgeonly personality and how Anderson kept it consistent throughout the book. The descriptions of place and the transformation of one of the characters were imaginative and vivid. Although "Nothing But Trouble" was written by a teen for teens, this educator-grandma loved it!
