It is exciting to know that in my own children's time new saints are being recognized. Patricia Treece tells us how the church researches each new candidate's life--and she does it in an easy to read style. Cures may be immediate or gradual; all are called miracles by medical men and women. Their stories are down-to-earth; we can imagine ourselves knowing these people as the author tells us about them. This book is delightful on several levels. Five stars are hardly enough to rate it.

Easy style of writing and familiar subjects with just enough fresh saints to make a great read!!!!

In her sweet style and rich descriptive phrasing, Patricia Treece writes as though she lived through every scene. She brings holy people into our midst when before we could only imagine what that would be like. Treece has an intuitive way of making every character in the book relatable to readers. Through these informative and beloved stories about "saints," it is possible to imagine that any one of us could be the next saint-in-the-making! I like the info about the process of sainthood which gave structure and credibility to the anecdotes, and insight to the results of so many hardships turned into healings. "Nothing short of a miracle" is nothing short of amazing!

Patricia Treece's book "Nothing Short of a Miracle" is an inspiration to all who desire a closer walk with God. In the telling of the many miracles God works through His saints it gives us hope that we are all important to Him and He is there to help. Miss Treece writes in an easy flowing manner that all can easily understand. She also researches all her work meticulously. I look forward to her next book.

Patricia Treece has given us a book that is a must read in this age of skepticism. In the time of Christ his miracles underscored his divinity and brought the crowds to him to listen to his words. No less in our day do miracles provide the same effect. In this book you will find scores and scores of healings defying medical explanation. Patricia's painstaking research is a boon for the skeptical mind as she provided the evidence and gives the backstory to each event. In addition her biographies of each saint, venerable or blessed give us a vibrant picture of their lives and work on earth, and thanks to the miracles, their continuing work from heaven. We also get a glimpse into the process of a declaration of sainthood and the rigors that a person's life is subjected to before such a declaration is made. My husband picked it up before I could crack the book open and was just as enthralled as I was, so we were often racing to see who would get it first.
