The stories play in time and space; he in the present, on a drug trip, and in the past, reliving himself through the narcotics and thus understanding how the convoluted path his life has taken leads to this very moment. The protagonist designs his life around the women he engages in overlapping relationships. The epicenter of his action remains Mykonos, the Cycladic Island of his father's physical birth, and his own spiritual awakening. At the base of everything is his need to know why he is living, the eternal question that most people grow out of, but not him; his personal development has been arrested in the adventure of finding answers. In his quest he samples many ways of living, and living with many women and in many places in Europe and the US.
