Overview

The lonely, lowly town of Gath Hepher has seen its fair share of drought and poverty. But when Assyria, the menace of all Israel and her surrounding nations comes seeking slaves, a young boy by the name of Jonah will find his life forever changed. As pain follows pain, and grief follows grief, can he ever find peace and joy? Can he ever forgive God for all he has lost? And when God calls him into service, can he ever accept his commission?

Just an amazing story of God's grace and love and how he uses a reluctant prophet (Jonah) to touch the lives of so many. From Jonah as a child enslaved by the Assyrians, to the loss of loved ones, the author paints a plausible story that helps the reader understand why Jonah would be so reluctant to follow God's call. Full of adventure and unexpected relationships, the book turns one of the Bible's most familiar stories into a tale that was thoroughly enjoyable.
