Glimpse what a nuclear war in 1962 and its aftermath would have looked like without radically departing from known historical facts.
This short history of the American-Soviet nuclear war of 1962 is based on authoritative sources (footnoted), many of which have only recently been de-classified. The book frighteningly demonstrates that it would have required only minor variations in events or the temperaments of the key players to have set the history of the entire world on a radically different trajectory. Approximately 5,000 words.

I enjoy reading alternate history stories which is what drew me to this particular one. It basically deals with a nuclear war taking place between the US and USSR in 1962 around the time of the Cuban Missile crisis. It is very short. Sadly, I felt it was not that good and was very disappointed with it overall. I felt it had potential but needs to be redone and expanded by the author before the quality improves.
B&N needs to fix this shill game they play. $3.00 for 12 pages! Never again will I "try" something new from them
I was disapointed with this. It really isn't a story at all. Even at .99 I feel ripped off. Don't waste your money!
Absolute rip off! The entire story was 13 pages long including quotes. Completely lacking in detail and a waste of $3.00
