You’ll not win consistently until you learn to serve well!” His original poem, BROAD SHOULDERS, is also featured in American Poetry Anthology, Volume VII, Number One, published by the American Poetry Association, Santa Cruz, CA.
Dan Herod’s first published book, entitled “Broad Shoulders: Nuggets of Inspiration!” was widely successful and included over 200 original quips, quotes, and proverbs from which to live, love, work, and play.
A former business development professional, national sales trainer and motivational speaker, Herod designed curriculum and facilitated sales training in the U.S. and Canada. His work includes The Road to a Close, Overcoming Objections and Sales Scripts for Sales Professionals. He created curriculum for 3-days and 5-days Sales Training Courses as a consultant to Sales Executives across the country with Broad Shoulders Performance Group, his sales training and motivation organization.

About the Author
His first book, “Broad Shoulders: Nuggets of Inspiration” (AuthorHouse Publications, Bloomingdale, IN) was published in 2006. With the publication of his latest book, “Nuggets of Truth,” his works are greatly expanded. Both these works are comprised of modern day original quotes, quips and proverbs from which to enjoy a more fulfilling life, both personally and professionally. He was first published in "A Dictionary of Similes;" Sommer & Sommer, New York, NY. Among his works quoted in that edition: “Love is like a tennis match. You’ll never win consistently until you learn to serve well!” Many of his original quotes have been republished in the states and around the world. His original poem, Broad Shoulders, was featured in "American Poetry Anthology," Volume VII, Number One, published by the American Poetry Association, Santa Cruz, California.
In his semi-retirement, Dan and his wife, Diane Stringer Herod, live in McKinney, TX where he serves as a Life Group (Sunday School) teacher at First Baptist Church Frisco, and is currently studying at Dallas Theological Seminary. They are the proud parents of two grown children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
