Gilman always entertains and her quirky characters appeal to me.

I loved this book. It's not of any huge literary merit, but it's one of the most purely entertaining books I've ever read. There's a new fun twist at every corner, and the 70s setting adds a lot to that. I would highly recommend it to anyone of any age looking for an amusing read.

While I love all of Dorothy Gilman's books, this one has a special place in my heart - I LOVE it!!! I wish that she had a few more books with the same characters in them because they are real characters, very believable, very funny, and completely entertaining.

This book is brilliant! Comedy and mystery rolled into one joyous romp. The characters are believable, and I think that the book has held up well with the passage of time. Basic idea behind the book? Nuns inherit a property and send two of their own to look things over. And after they get to the property, well, that's when the odd things start happening to them and around them. They find a man in the house who has been shot. They meet up with hippies. They find a lot more than just normal home furnishings in and around the property. And one of the nuns even lands herself in jail! Honestly, read this book. It's hilarious, and the mystery is also very engaging.

Nun in the Closet-Next to that is Boy in the Suitcase. Then in the overview for NITC it mentions money in the suitcase. At least the boy isn't in this suitcase with the money. My laugh for the day.
