Daryk "Dare" Nyght is a man on the edge. As a trauma surgeon in the Army, he has seen his share of combat, but his high-risk lifestyle has left him burnt out and in desperate need of some peace. A man without a home, Dare heads to the small town of Breakers to get some rest and spend some time with a few friends, but what he finds there is more than he ever expected…

Evelyn Beaumont is a woman who seems to have it all. Evie has grace, beauty, and wealth, but she hides from painful memories by burying herself in her work at the rescue center she runs. When these two lost souls come together in a clash of wills, the sparks between them are undeniable. Will passion be enough, or can they find a way to open their hearts for a chance at true love?

## This book was STELLAR. I really enjoyed reading this. Daryk was a little cocky but not obnoxiously so and Eve was perfection personified. The two of them just exploded together. As with the first book, there was a tad of insta-love but who cares, really. Wow, both Hammer and Daryk were not just hot, but "humina, humina" hot. I hope there will be a story for Hunter and the amazing Nikita. I love what a badass she is. Fantastic series, will read again.

I loved the first book in this series "Hammer" and was excited to read all books in this series...but was dissapointed. This book was an ok read but definitely not as good as the first in this series. .

I lived this book but my favorite is still Hammer's Fall. The best thing about this Author is, within the series she includes the characters from previous books.

Dare and Eve were a wonderful story. 160 pages, steamy romance, emotional parts, funny and overall great story! I enjoyed Hammer and Kali a bit better, but Dare's story was just as good too. All the other surrounding people of this town are just as great and can not wait for their stories!! Hopefully Hunter, Becca or Dante's will be next (fingers crossed that it is SOON) :) For better enjoyment and getting familiar with the other people in these books, reading Hammer first would be good, but not a must. Highly recommended!***

I love L. Roma's books and this was no exception. Hammer and Kali are still my faves, but Evie and Dare sure gave them a run for their money. The connection between Dare and the little boy Shane was so sweet! Just a really good book. Period.

This was a great book of how soldiers feel coming back from war. Sometimes you have to find a new home to feel whole again. In this book Dare is coming back a different man and trying to come to terms with that. Eve is not pushy and just the right person to show him how by living her own life to its fullest. This was a great read and the second book in this series. If you haven't read Hammers Fall go get it then read this. Both great reads and I can't wait till the next book come out.
