I picked this book up at a local gay store on a whim and then had a hard time putting it down. Ryan's writing style is so pure and to the point I found myself wanting to find out what happened next. I was half way through the book before it had any similarity to any other gay book I have ever read before. Ryan had taken the time to establish a premise for events that taken place later in the book. While many of the events were more graphic than I had anticipated, I could see that any less would have dumbed the book down. A unique aspect of the book was the highlighted text where Ryan takes a look at what happened from his present mindset. You'll get a good read from this gem of a book.
