Miss Seeton goes under cover at a London gambling club, complete with a disguise of lavender hair, jewels and expensive clothes. Her assignment get a solid look at a suspect and the draw a portrait of him for the Fraud Squad. as usual Miss Seeton does not recognize the danger that surrounds her even as the police try to protect her. The mobsters they are investigating are no match for the whirlwind that is Miss Seeton. . Miss Seeton is a mix of Miss Marple and Jessica Fletcher. A retired art instructor who has a peculiar talent of exposing someone's hidden secrets and sometimes possible future happenings. She is very proper and makes me laugh as I read. The characters work cohesively to deliver a wonderful story. With a well written plot Odds on Miss Seeton is a quick read that delights readers. This is a great book; this is the fifth book in the Heron Carvic’s Miss Seeton series by Heron Carvic. Scotland Yard has disguised Miss Seeton as a high roller to get a police sketch of a mysterious crime boss. But she is soon playing a very dangerous game of big money and murder, and it is a sure bet that someone perhaps Miss Seeton, is in mortal danger. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review.
