Captivating true stories that produce a person to bust a gut to the point of tears pouring down the cheeks, hearts that swells with love and pain, and makes you realize that it is the little moments the we need to cherish, and bring in remembrance when we go through times of trial and tribulation in our lives. I've read a lot of books in my time, but have never read a book that captivated my attention instantly to the point of losing sleep to read just one more page. Randa Chance is a very remarkable woman with a heart of gold, and a sweet spirit. Such a mamma bear! I love every word in this book and have grown even more from reading it. "...And then there are those other days, those desolate days when everything is wrong and my foundations are shaking. When dark, thick sadness threatens to overwhelm me and my soul is bruised. That is when I pull out a moment like one of these. I hold it in my calloused hands and turn it over and over and hold it up to the light. I examine it from every angle and relive it again." - Randa Chance, Of Cabbages And Kings It's the little moments in our lives that make the difference... Not only did this book change my life, but meeting the woman that experienced those true stories was a blessing, and I'm so thankful for it.
