About the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cynthia Wright is happy to announce that "Rakes & Rebels" unites the intertwining Raveneau and Beauvisage family novels into one captivating 9-book series!

RAKES & REBELS
1 - SILVER STORM
2 - CAROLINE
3 - TOUCH THE SUN
4 - SPRING FIRES
5 - SMUGGLER'S MOON
6 - SURRENDER THE STARS
7 - NATALYA
8 - SILVER SEA
9 - TEMPEST

My career as a novelist began when I was twenty-three, with a phone call from New York announcing that CAROLINE would be published by Ballantine Books. Can you imagine my excitement? I went on to write 12 more bestselling historical romances set in Colonial America, Regency England & America, Medieval England & France, and the American West.

My novels have won many awards over the years, but what means most are readers' messages like this one: "When I read your books, I can't wait to turn the page, but never want the story to end." It's been a thrill to have all my novels published as eBooks (newly edited, with gorgeous new covers!), and I have also released an all-new Raveneau Novel, TEMPEST!

Today I live in northern California with my husband, Alvaro, in a 1930's Spanish cottage. When we aren't riding our tandem road bike or traveling in our vintage Airstream, I love spending time with family, especially my two young grandsons. I also recently received a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant and feel blessed to have two rewarding careers!

YOU'LL BE SWEPT AWAY!! What a fantastic read! I bought the bundle and I may like You and No Other slightly better, just a tad better. You must read these stories in order to fully appreciate the cross over character's that appear in the first half of this novel. I love the way Ms. Wright pulls you into a story, you feel like a Peeping Tom because I felt I was in the room with them, or taking part in some form of their lives. Some love making scenes, but certainly not the erotica type. You just know what they are doing and how they feel about each other. The romance builds slowly, which endeared me even more to our H/H. I thought for sure I knew who was behind everything that was happening, and oh how wrong I was. I loved not only the romance, but the historical part that is weaved into the story. I highly recommend this series, and any books written by Cynthia Wright. (ljb)

OF ONE HEART, formerly known as A BATTLE FOR LOVE, is the second book in Cynthia Wright's Renaissance Rogues (St. Briac) series. Aimée and Thomas from YOU AND NO OTHER are secondary characters, with Aimée being Michelene Tevoulère's best friend. That said, OF ONE HEART does stand alone. Young widow Michelene Tevoulère and rogue Andrew Weston, Earl of Sandhurst and future Duke of Aylesworth, become pawns of the French and English courts. Anne d'Heilly, long-time mistress of King François, wants to get rid of Michelene and hatches a plan with King Henry VIII to marry her off to the Earl of Sandhurst. Neither pawn is keen on the plan at first. A devastating reality, secret identities, court intrigues and finally love push Michelene and Andrew together and pull them apart. Renaissance France and England are not areas that I am strong on history, but Cynthia Wright's details of time and place and her descriptions of the food and clothing of the time make the courts of François I and Henry VIII come alive. I was fascinated to learn that Anne d'Heilly was a real person and that King Henry VIII DID really play tennis at his court [pun intended]. I thoroughly enjoyed Michelene and Andrew's story and the ties to YOU AND NO OTHER. Renaissance romances are not one of my usual historical genres, but Wright reminds me how much I loved them. This reading OF ONE HEART is really a re-reading of my ebook version of the story. I still have my beat-up second-hand copy of A BATTLE FOR LOVE (oh my, the print is small!). Rereading the story after my reading of Wright's Beauvisage/Raveneau Rakes and Rebels series, it was fun to start to see connections to the future characters. Now I am heading west for her Rogues Go West series, where I will encounter one of the Duke of Aylesworth's descendants.

I loved the romance, the intrigue info One Heart.  I was just sad that the series ended with this book! It is so worth reading the St. Briar series together.  And yes Cynthia I loved St. Briar too!
