Off the Line is the story of Frankie, a single salesman in his 20's, who calls a telephone dating service on a lonely summer's Saturday night. When he invites a single mother named Sandy to his home, he reluctantly lets her into his life as he reveals a secret that will take both of their lives on a whole new course that will change who they are forever. When a detective and a mafia boss uncover the events which result from Frankie and Sandy's meeting, all lives intersect with unpredictable results. Set in the year 2000, this powerful story leads us on a journey in which the characters discover that friendship changes everything.

About the Author

Thomas Duffy graduated with a degree in English from the New York City Pace University campus. He also obtained undergraduate credits at Hofstra University and Hunter College. While in college, he wrote film reviews for his school papers and the no-longer published UniverCity, a publication at which he interviewed stars and directors such as John Cusack, Jenna Elfman and Mark Waters. Thomas, being a huge movie buff, co-managed almost every video store you could imagine before Netflix, Redbox and On Demand (among others) led to the end of most video stores. His first book, Stockboy, was inspired by his experiences working at M&M's World, Times Square.
