Delightful short story! Jenny, a self-described "apple-shaped Big Girl" is unashamed of her love of sweets, good food, and her mother's Italian cooking. She cracks jokes about her weight before anyone else can beat her to it. She's fun, funny, loves good humor, pulling pranks at the office (she can give as good as she takes)...and has an immediate crush on the New Guy--Nolan. He's the new art director in the office, and handsome guys like him tend to see Jenny as The Friend...and hot women tend to find her non-threatening. After all, girls who look like Jenny are WAY out of hot guys' league. I LOVED the cookie metaphor: "Men are like cookies; why settle for the store brand cheapies your mom left on the counter when you knew there were fancy ones in the tin on the top shelf-- even if they were hard to get? Those were the ones you really wanted." FANTASTIC! This is a hint at the fun, sparkling humor found within this short. OFFICE PRANK! (SHORT STORY #1 FROM OFFICE FLIRTS!) runs 25 pages minus front- and end-matter. Knowing that Lisa Scott's FLIRTS! series are each a collection of fun short stories that are lightly connected makes me want to BUY and READ this set! I've read some of Ms. Scott's FLIRTS! that are only so-so and others that were delightful; this one falls definitely in the DELIGHTFUL category. Recommended to fans of short stories, romantic comedies, and PG romance. Sensuality level: mild Language: PG ~Kristin

Office Flirts! By Lisa Scott The employees of Dunner Advertising have a bit more than work on their minds. Along with having fun and pulling pranks, romance is running through the cubicles as well. Some old and some new romances along with hidden love as well. Lisa Scott's Flirts! books are fun and easy for those times you aren't in a mood for a long story and want a few giggles along the way. Office Prank - Story 1 Jenny is a happy go lucky prankster, and she enjoys her food. She's content with her body and is sure there must be a guy out there somewhere who would like it too. Like the new guy at work, Nolan. Told from Jenny's point of view only.
