The Perfect Gift for Parents of the Bride & Groom! I SO wish I'd had this handy guide playing on my team when my daughter got married two years ago. Some how-to books can be boring – not Joy Smith's take on the subject! With a lighthearted approach, she helps a parent handle not only the practical matters. She also keeps things light, injecting enough humor to help keep tension at bay. Sage advice to keep the grueling/euphoric process of planning a wedding from destroying what should be the happiest time of life. Most people purchase gifts for the happy couple at engagement time - I suggest a new tradition. Know the parent of a newly engaged son or daughter? This book is the perfect way to say "congratulations."

Finally, a book for those neglected by all those traditional wedding manuals: the parents!  Joy Smith not only serves up tons of practical advice, but does so in a way that will entertain as well as inform. A must read for anyone with a child who is about to tie the knot.
