No need to feel like a fifth wheel, a spare tire, odd man/woman out. There's plenty to do while being single, and it can be fulfilling. Despite general impressions to the contrary, not everything is set up to accomodate couples. There's plenty for single women to do, PLENTY. And not only are there over a hundred great ideas to choose in these pithy, witty chapters, but even if you don't do a single one of them, it's a fun read. These two authors are wits, humorists. Just plain fun reading. Hope to hear the two of them on public radio or something, because I'm sure they'd be great interviews, great entertainers.

Maybe we've got big heads, but we consider ourselves hip chicks. When we starting looking for books that could offer us innovative ideas on things to do alone, we couldn't find any. So we decided to write our own! The ideas range from mild (head to a Blues bar for a change of scenery) to the edgy (crash a wedding party for the free food and booze). We hope you and your friends will enjoy reading the book as much as we enjoyed writing it!

If you're looking for a fun, hysterical gift for that hip chick in your life, this is it! With more than 120 ideas, 'Oh, Solo Mia' offers everything from the mild to wild. Burt and Kindberg will keep you in stitches from beginning to end. A 'must have' if you like women's humor or know someone who does. This book is not just for single women. It's for any female who is looking for fun ways to spend time alone - or just a fun read.

No more saying 'I'm bored.' No more 'I don't have a date, so I can't do anything or go anywhere.' No more feeling sorry for yourself. These two women have put together a great resource for single women, a book with over a hundred ideas for what to do. And even better, you don't have to feel guilty about being single. You can enjoy it. This is a lovely gift for a graduating senior in high school or college, or just for a single woman in general. And it's so packed with ideas that it's helpful to those women who 'feel' single in a relationship.

This book is packed with ideas for single women--things to do that don't leave you always wishing you were half of a couple. There's plenty to do out there that's inexpensive, fulfilling, fun, educational, helpful. Best of all, these chapters are entertaining, funny, thought-provoking--and short. A very stimulating book. Hope these two authors write more good stuff soon. I'll give it to my nieces who are graduating from college soon, and to my neighbor who is graduating high school this year. The ideas help a single woman maintain esteem, help her see it's not a crime to be single and to enjoy it.
